Denver Broncos (5-3) vs Carolina Panthers (2-6) ATS Matchup Stats<\/a> | Gambling Insight!<\/a> | Buy Ray’s Picks!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Denver<\/strong><\/p>\n Ever since getting down early against San Diego the Broncos have been humming. \u00a0That win launched their current 3 game winning streak that has included 3 straight 31+ point performances and 3 ATS victories.<\/p>\n I think by now that any concerns about QB Peyton Manning completely recovering from his neck injury have been answered. \u00a0I think he is probably not the same player he was but that is as much a team effect and he is still fantastic. \u00a0<\/p>\n He has tossed 3 TD passes in each of the last 5 games and given the Broncos a feeling of invincibility that they never would have had with Tebow at the helm<\/p>\n It is no surprise the Broncos are favoured on the road this week. \u00a0Other than the Falcons no team is on a better run right now probably. \u00a0This is an interesting contest especially with that line at 4 points. \u00a0At -3 the Broncos seem like a no-brainer but with an extra point to cover on the road against Cam Newton I am hesitant. [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n Carolina<\/strong><\/p>\n Carolina is having an interesting season – though they may not see it that way. \u00a0While the defense which was infused through the draft and players returning from injury has improved the offense has regressed big time. \u00a0It has led to a two win season but one of those wins was last week at Washington. \u00a0Now they return home looking to continue to play the role of spoiler, this time targeting Peyton Manning.<\/p>\n Last week QB Cam Newton didn\u2019t do anything superhuman, he just didn\u2019t make any mistakes. \u00a0His style and skill naturally lend itself to big plays so if he can a similar performance the Panthers should be alright. \u00a0On defense, preparing for Manning after Robert Griffin couldn\u2019t be more different. \u00a0Stopping the run was a little off last week but sometimes letting a Manning led team run the ball is the way to go.<\/p>\n Carolina is 4-4 ATS and an interesting study against the number this year. \u00a0The larger it gets the better play they are as they 1-4 ATS when the spread is three points or less and 3-0 when it is larger – accounting for games a both a favourite and an underdog. \u00a0That extra point moving this one to four looms large again. \u00a0I am not sure I would play against Carolina on Sunday.<\/p>\n Spread Pick: Carolina +4 Broncos vs Panthers NFL Football Spread\/Handicapping The Dnever Broncos are looking to use this week to build some breathing space in the AFC West.
