New England<\/strong><\/p>\nWith last week\u2019s win the Patriots have reclaimed top spot in the AFC East. \u00a0This week they are coming off a bye and staring down 4 very winnable games before a clash with Houston. \u00a0After some early season stumbles they have won their last two, obliterating St. Louis in London most recently. \u00a0They should be back to their normal routine after the odd travel week as they have been back the US for some time now. \u00a0(I am sure someone has the numbers on how team\u2019s play after London). The Patriots have the top offense in the league, both in terms of yards and scoring. \u00a0QB Tom Brady is playing well but they are also killing it in the running game with the 4th best attack in the league (actually better than the Bills). \u00a0Stevan Ridley is 7th in the league in rushing and when he exits they are getting solid production from guys like Danny Woodhead and Brandon Bolden. \u00a0The scary part is that overall this offense has room to grow with the passing game suffering from some injuries and lower than expected performance at the TE position.<\/p>\n
The Patriots are almost always favoured so it is no surprise that their ATS mark mirrors their W-L record. \u00a0They have had two similar numbers this year and both were ATS losses (against the Jets and Arizona). \u00a0The offense is certainly capable of putting up the points and running prowess can help control the clock. \u00a0However, I still think that is just too many points to spot them and the number is inflated by that first result.<\/p>\n
