They finish out their season against Atlanta, San Diego and Oakland. They should win at least two of those games which means their record goes to 11 and 5. They’re definitely in.

2. Philadelphia Eagles – – The Eagles are 7-5-1 but they have the toughest road of the bunch having to face Washington and Dallas after playing Cleveland this Sunday. Against the BetUS online wagering spread, they’ve gone 8 and 5. I’m not ready to say that they are in for sure, but they’re looking good because Dallas is a mess and Washington isn’t playing well at all. The Birds could run the table.

3. Atlanta Falcons – – The Falcons have a better record than the Saints by a single game at this point, but look what these fellas have to do in the final three weeks? The Dirty Birds have to get nasty against Tampa Bay and Minnesota before finishing out the season against St. Louis. Those are two potential losses since both the Vikings and Bucs have to play as hard as possible to ensure a playoff seed.

4. Dallas Cowboys – – The griping has already started and we all know that Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson have planned a vacation in a few weeks. The ‘Boys should lose their next three games against the New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles. This team is toast.

AFC Playoffs – – Potential Surprise Teams

** The Tennessee Titans and Denver Broncos look like locks. The Pittsburgh Steelers should win the AFC North even though the Baltimore Ravens are only a game behind. In the AFC East any team could win it but I feel that the New York Jets will get it done.

1. Baltimore Ravens – – The Ravens have a key game coming up this Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. These fellas are 9 and 4 against the BetUS online wagering spread, have a terrific defense, and rookie quarterback Joe Flaaco improves every week. I don’t think they beat the Steelers but they do beat the Dallas Cowboys and the Jacksonville Jaguars which means they are in the playoffs at 11 and 5.

2. Indianapolis Colts – – Watch out NFL betting fans! The Colts have won six games in a row, are 9 and 4 straight-up, and finish out their season against Detroit, Jacksonville, and a resting Tennessee Titans squad. They are a lock to finish 12 and 4, but against the BetUS online betting spread they are only 6-6-1. So, don’t go crazy on these guys! They secure a higher playoff seed but I have Baltimore ranked higher because of the Ravens’ against the spread record.

3. New England Patriots – – If the Jets make it, then the Pats get the final playoff seed, right? Well, maybe not. The Patriots are 6 and 7 against the spread and only 8 and 5 straight-up but they have favorable match-ups to end the season against the Oakland Raiders, Arizona Cardinals (who already are in the playoffs), and reeling Buffalo Bills. I’m not sure how much I like these guys in the playoffs but they probably make it.

4. Miami Dolphins – – They have done an excellent job just to get where they are right now, but let’s be honest, they probably aren’t as good as their record indicates. Against the BetUS online betting spread they are 6 and 7, and they do have a chance as they get to play San Francisco this Sunday and they should trounce Kansas City next Sunday. But, I’m not sold on their chances. I believe the 49’ers could upset them as 6 ½ point underdogs this Sunday. That would almost kill their chances.

This much we know for sure about the 2008/09 NFL Playoffs – The Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants are already in.
