New York. Which team is likely to lay the smack down? That answer is easy!<\/p>\n The Houston Texans are likely the most complete team in the NFL at present \u2013 the defense has been off the charts and the offense have been very good as well. Currently they own the 21st ranked passing offense and the 9th best running game \u2013 more than adequate when you possess the defense that the Texans do. Matt Schaub, Andre Johnson, Arian Foster and even Ben Tate strike fear into opposing defenses and rightfully so.<\/p>\n They are a handful as demonstrated by their 31.50 points per game \u2013 good for 2nd in the league.<\/p>\n There was some fear in Houston that the loss of Mario Williams would be too much for the defense to overcome. No problem \u2013 JJ Watt has stepped up and become the early candidate for Defensive Player of the Year with 7.5 sacks already. The passing D is ranked 2nd in the NFL and the run D is 11th after Chris Johnson went off last week to the tune of 141 yards. Still, this unit is absolutely top notch \u2013 they certainly have the edge over the Jets offense.<\/p>\n Is it me or is it boring when Rex Ryan isn\u2019t making bold, stupid predictions. He has appeared humble, quiet and seemingly scared in recent press conferences. I guess so \u2013 the team is playing terribly and now must deal with injuries to their best defensive player and one of their only offensive threats.<\/p>\n The Jets offense has been terrible \u2013 just 145 total yards last week in a 34-0 home loss to the 49ers. They are the 27th ranked pass offense and they own the 24th ranked running game \u2013 not good enough for this team to contend. There is no shortage of excuses \u2013 the run game isn\u2019t doing their jobs, the O-line has been bad, there aren\u2019t enough weapons for Mark Sanchez and on, and on and on. But the fact remains that this team is out of sync on offense \u2013 totally dysfunctional and void of any sort of playmaking ability \u2013 UNGOOD! [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n The Jets defense has been nothing to write home about either this season. They are an OK 4th against the pass (without Darrelle Revis this number should freefall) and they are a miserable 31st against the run allowing 172.75 yards per game \u2013 are you listening Arian Foster?<\/p>\n Betting Prediction<\/strong><\/p>\n This game has blowout written all over it! There is a good chance that we see Tim Tebow in this game a whole lot more that Rex Ryan would have liked. Tim Tebow is awful! Most of the headlines coming out of New York are about the dysfunction on this team not the optimism felt by fans, players and coaches alike.
