The MLB playoff picture is starting to take shape and this week\u2019s schedule features a couple of crucial series that could have an impact on the final field for the postseason. <\/p>\n
We have carefully analyzed the stats and betting trends for all the pitching matchups on Tuesday\u2019s slate of games and have uncovered a couple of plays that set-up as the perfect two-team parlay.<\/p>\n
Game 1: Chicago White Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles<\/strong> Matchup<\/a>\u00a0|\u00a0Preview<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Chris Sale is scheduled to get the start for Chicago in Game 2 of this four-game set. Baltimore is just 1-3 at home against Chicago in the last four meetings heading into this series, but stick with the home team this time around to lock-up front-end of this parlay. The right-hander is 12-7 this season with a 2.50 ERA. He has given-up just six earned runs in his last four starts after holding Toronto to two earned runs on four hits this past Thursday. Verlander is 14-2 against the Royals with an ERA of 2.36.<\/p>\n The Royals will counter with Luis Mendoza as their starter for the series opener. He is 7-9 with a 4.26 ERA in 18 previous starts. The right-hander has only given-up more than three earned runs in two of his last 10 starts and has pitched into the seventh inning three times in his last five outings.<\/p>\n The Tigers are a perfect 11-0 in Verlander\u2019s last 11 starts on the road against a team with a losing record and Kansas City is 2-5 in Mendoza\u2019s last seven starts against a team with a winning record.
