The MLB divisional races continue to heat up with the soaring July temperatures as teams strive to finish the first half of the regular season on a strong note. <\/p>\n
After carefully analyzing all the pitching matchups on Tuesday\u2019s slate of games, we have uncovered a two-team parlay that promises to get your week off to a great start.<\/p>\n
Game 1- San Francisco Giants vs. Washington Nationals Matchup<\/a>\u00a0|\u00a0Preview<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n The Giants will go with Tim Lincecum as their starter for Tuesday night. The right-hander showed some signs of returning to form with seven scoreless innings his last time out, but he is still 3-8 with a 5.60 ERA in 16 starts this season with just one win in his last 10 starts. Lincecum is 1-2 against the Nationals with a 4.14 ERA.<\/p>\n Washington will counter with Jordan Zimmermann as its starter. He is also under .500 on the year at 4-6, but boasting a 2.77 ERA in 15 previous outings. The right-hander has given-up a total of 10 earned runs in his last five starts. He is 2-1 against the Giants with a 3.60 ERA.<\/p>\n San Francisco is 2-9 in Lincecum\u2019s last 11 starts on the road and the total has stayed \u2018under\u2019 in five of its last six games overall. The Nationals are 7-2 in Zimmermann\u2019s last nine starts against the NL West but just 2-5 in their last seven home games. The Giants are 18-8 in the last 26 meetings but stick with Washington to draw first blood this time around with a victory in the front-end of this parlay.\u00a0[dfads params=’groups=10&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n Game 2- Texas Rangers vs. Chicago White Sox Matchup<\/a>\u00a0|\u00a0Preview<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Roy Oswalt will be making his third start of the season for his new team. He has won both, but gave-up five earned runs in the Rangers 13-9 slugfest against Detroit this past Wednesday. The right-hander will be facing the White Sox for the first time since 2008 when he was still a starter for Houston.<\/p>\n Chicago is expected to send Chris Sale to the mound to open this series on Tuesday night. The left-hander notched his sixth-straight decision last Wednesday by holding Minnesota to two runs on six hits in seven innings of work. He is now 9-2 on the year with an ERA of 2.27. Sale has not given-up more than two earned runs in six of his last seven starts.<\/p>\n Texas is 7-2 in its last nine starts against a left-handed starter and 10-4 in its last 14 games against a South Paw on the road. Chicago is 1-4 in the first game of its last five series and the total has stayed \u2018under\u2019 in nine of its last 12 games.
