The NASCAR Sprint Cup series takes a break this weekend from its point race schedule for the running of the 28th annual All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. <\/p>\n
NASCAR Sprint Cup All-Star Race<\/strong> This 150-mile race features all the drivers that have won a race last season or this season plus the winner and runner-up in the Sprint Showdown, which is run two hours prior to this race.<\/p>\n This dash for the cash has a first-place prize of $1 million.<\/p>\n All the action is slated to get underway at 7 p.m. on Saturday night with the Sprint Showdown and it will be broadcast nationally on the Speed Network.<\/p>\n The following is a closer look at our favorite, contender, and longshot for this year\u2019s All-Star Race along with their current odds to win as provided by Bovada.<\/p>\n Kyle Busch only managed to finish in the top five in one of his first eight races this season, but comes into this race on fire with a victory at Richmond, a second-place finish at Talladega, and a fourth-place finish in last week\u2019s race at Darlington. It is little wonder that he is a 7\/1 favorite to win on Saturday night.<\/p>\n This surge has raised the No.18 car to ninth in the standings with 349 points. Last year, Busch started on the pole in this race but could only manage a second-place finish after leading for 19 laps. Kevin Harvick posted his first and only victory in the All-Star Race in 2007 and has been opened at 10\/1 to take the checkered flag in this season\u2019s race.<\/p>\n He started 14th in last year\u2019s race and could only manage to work himself to ninth. The No. 29 car is currently in eighth-place in the standings with 361 points. The team is still searching for its first win this season, but it has come close with five top-10 finishes.<\/p>\n Harvick won the Coca-Cola 600 last year at Charlotte and finished sixth in the fall race here.<\/p>\n Ryan Newman has been opened as a 25\/1 longshot to win on Saturday night and there is quite of bit of value in those odds given his current form and past history in this race.<\/p>\n The No.39 car is currently 14th in the point standings with 307 points but in position for a wildcard spot in the Chase after posting a victory in the Goody\u2019s Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville.<\/p>\n Earlier in the season he finished fourth at Las Vegas and seventh at Fontana.
