After sifting through all the scheduled pitching matchups on Wednesday\u2019s slate of games, we uncovered a two-team parlay that should give you one more chance to cash in on some familiar showdowns, before handicapping the upcoming AL-NL series.<\/p>\n
Game 1-Philadelphia Phillies vs. Chicago Cubs The Phillies will try and continue to close the gap in the NL East with Vance Worley on the mound in Game 1 against the Cubs. The right-hander is coming off a strong outing against San Diego to raise his record to 3-2 on the year. He gave-up three earned runs on six hits in six innings of work. He has gotten bounced around as of late; giving-up 11 runs in just over 11 innings pitched. Overall, the left-hander is 2-2 on the year with a 4.09 ERA. Lifetime against the Giants he is 1-1 with a 1.29 ERA.<\/p>\n It will be Madison Bumgarner\u2019s turn in San Francisco\u2019s rotation this Wednesday night. His five-game winning streak came to an end his last time out in a loss to Arizona, but overall this left-hander is 5-2 on the year with a 2.80 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP.<\/p>\n He is 2-0 with a 2.57 against the Cardinals over the course of his career.<\/p>\n The Cardinals are 1-4 in Garcia\u2019s last five starts in Game 1 of a series and 1-5 in his last six starts on the road.
