The Clippers needed all seven games to put away the Memphis Grizzlies in round one. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
Los Angeles Clippers (0-0) vs San Antonio Spurs (0-0) Matchup<\/a>\u00a0|\u00a0Preview<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Los Angeles<\/strong><\/p>\n Their reward – a well rested San Antonio team that they lost two of three to during the regular season. \u00a0These two teams could not be more different and Los Angeles is going to have to play much better than they did against the Grizzlies to continue their season.<\/p>\n If they win this one could indicate a changing of the guard in the West.<\/p>\n The Clippers were lucky to eke out the series against Memphis after being up early. \u00a0In the final game forward Blake Griffin looked gassed, in fact the whole team didn\u2019t play all that well it was \u00a0just that Memphis played worse -amazingly missing every single one of their three point attempts.<\/p>\n The Clippers will have to beat San Antonio, they won\u2019t hand it to them.<\/p>\n San Antonio<\/strong><\/p>\n The San Antonio Spurs made quick work of Utah, sweeping them out of the first round. \u00a0 [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n As a result they haven\u2019t played in more than a week. \u00a0For any other team you might worry about rust but the way these guys have been managed by Coach Pop all year long they should be more than ready to go.<\/p>\n San Antonio lost just 5 games at home this season but one was to these Clippers.<\/p>\n San Antonio just demolished Utah. \u00a0The covered the first three games, winning each by double digits and affording them to continue their strategy of using the entire roster. \u00a0Through the four games 7 players are averaging 8 or more points led by Tony Parker at 21ppg.<\/p>\n Manu Ginobili seemed a little off but it could just be that the games were close enough to get his juices flowing.<\/p>\n The Spurs are primed to usher the Clips out of the playoffs next.<\/p>\n
