The Los Angeles Angels are easily the most disappointing team for me this year. \u00a0This team was supposed to challenge Texas for American League supremacy but they have needed a hot streak lately just to up their record within breathing distance of .500 and third place Seattle. <\/p>\n
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (14-18) vs Texas Rangers (20-11) Matchup<\/a>\u00a0|\u00a0Preview<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n PITCHING MATCHUP<\/strong>: Los Angeles LH C.J. Wilson (4-2, 2.61 ERA) vs. Texas RH Yu Darvish (4-1, 2.54 ERA).<\/p>\n Los Angeles<\/strong><\/p>\n The offense has been sinful while the pitching has not been as effective as expected. \u00a0A rotation deepened by the addition of C.J. Wilson has struggled overall.<\/p>\n You can\u2019t blame Wilson though. \u00a0He is 4-2 and on a team without Jered Weaver would certainly be considered the ace. \u00a0Acquired in the offseason as a free agent he is having no trouble adjusting to wearing the halo.<\/p>\n The only good thing you can say about their other major free agent signing – Albert Pujols – is that he finally went yard a few games back. \u00a0He has 6 RBI in his last 4 games but still seems lost at the plate.<\/p>\n Facing Yu Darvish for the first time probably won\u2019t help things.
