Rangers vs. Tigers Matchup<\/a>\u00a0|\u00a0Preview<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n PITCHING MATCHUP:<\/strong>\u00a0Rangers LH Matt Harrison (2-0, 0.64 ERA) vs. Tigers RH Rick Porcello (1-0, 1.84 ERA)<\/p>\n Texas<\/strong><\/p>\n The Rangers have been very good the last couple of seasons but have struggled when visiting Detroit. \u00a0They are just 7-19 in recent visits to Detroit which makes their opening game performance that much more exciting.<\/p>\n On the bump Fridays is their most effective pitcher this year unheralded Matt Harrison. \u00a0The lefty won a career high 14 games last year and has given up just one run this season through two starts. \u00a0When the team is at the plate Josh Hamilton has been the big story. \u00a0Amidst contract talks and concerns about his sobriety he was hitting .440 heading into Thursday evening, helping the team to an average of 6 runs per game.
