The NASCAR Sprint Cup series is back in action after taking last week off with the running of the Samsung Mobile 500 at Texas Motor Speedway in Ft. Worth. \u00a0<\/p>\n
NASCAR Sprint Cup Samsung Mobile 500 Preview and Prediction<\/strong> It will be the first prime time race of the season with the green flag set to wave at 7 p.m. (ET) this upcoming Saturday night.<\/p>\n Two weeks ago, Ryan Newman survived a wild finish at Martinsville to notch his first victory of the season with A.J. Allmendinger taking second and Dale Earnhardt Jr. finishing third for the second race in-a-row.<\/p>\n The following is a closer look at our favorite, contender, and longshot for this Saturday night\u2019s race along with their current odds to win.<\/p>\n The Favorite (odds of less than 10\/1)<\/strong><\/p>\n Matt Kenseth<\/strong> is currently tied for third-place in the Sprint Cup standings with Tony Stewart with 214 points.<\/p>\n He followed-up his thrilling victory at Daytona with a second-place finish at Bristol and a fourth-place finish at Martinsville. Kenseth comes into this race, not only in solid form as a 7\/1 favorite, but as the defending champion after racing the No.17 car to victory lane in last season\u2019s Samsung Mobile 500.<\/p>\n He now has two career victories and nine other top-five finishes at Texas. His average finishing position at this track is 8.7. [ad-8757089]<\/p>\n The Contender (odds of 10\/1 to 19\/1)<\/strong><\/p>\n The 2011 Sprint Cup season was one to forget for Denny Hamlin<\/strong>, but so far it appears that he may have regained the form that led to eight Sprint Cup victories in the 2010 season. He has already posted a win this year at Phoenix and added a sixth-place finish two weeks ago at Martinsville to jump to seventh in the standings with 210 points.<\/p>\n The No.11 car is a 12\/1 favorite to win this week. Hamlin was a non-factor at Texas last year, but in 2010 he completed the season-sweep with victories in both races at this track.<\/p>\n His average finishing position here is 10.2 and he has a total of eight top-10 finishes in 13 career races.<\/p>\n The Longshot (odds of 20\/1 or higher)<\/strong><\/p>\n Clint Bowyer<\/strong> has quietly worked his way to ninth in this season\u2019s point standings with three top-10 finishes in six races.<\/p>\n His best effort of the year was a fourth-place finish at Bristol after starting 16th<\/span><\/sup>.<\/p>\n This week he has been opened at 20\/1 to take the checkered flag.
