The New Jersey Nets will be arriving in Sacramento for the second game of a back to back. <\/p>\n
New Jersey Nets (17-35) vs Sacramento Kings (17-33) Matchup<\/a>\u00a0|\u00a0Preview<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n New Jersey<\/strong><\/p>\n They have yet to face the Kings this year and in a quirk of scheduling haven\u2019t faced them in almost a year and a half. \u00a0This team is going nowhere but has won two of their last three heading into Friday night at Golden State (yet to tip as this is being written). \u00a0This is the second stop in a 4 game West Coast road swing where they will be lucky to win a game.<\/p>\n The Nets are really limping down the stretch. \u00a0They have six players on their injured list forcing players like Gerald Green and Johan Petro onto the floor…remember those guys? \u00a0Meanwhile point guard Deron Williams seems to be biding his time and playing the good soldier.<\/p>\n After missing a few games with a calf injury he has been putting up wicked stats, mostly in losses though.<\/p>\n Sacramento<\/strong><\/p>\n The Sacramento Kings have lost their last 4 games (likely 5 by the time this is posted) but they are playing pretty well. [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n Not on defense where they are the worst team in the league but in terms of playing teams tight. \u00a0Those four losses are by a combined 12 points and one of the games was in over time. \u00a0If they could ever get a stop when it really mattered in a game they could start to win some ball games.<\/p>\n That is because this team really does have talent. \u00a0I\u2019ve written before that I really like the combination of Tyreke Evans and Demarcus Cousins. \u00a0Though, I don\u2019t see much when I watch him Marcus Thornton is leading the team in scoring at 19ppg and pint sized rookie Isaiah Thomas (the other one) is making a contribution of late too, notching his third double-double of the season on Wednesday against the Spurs. \u00a0With a little defensive toughness this team could get better in a hurry. \u00a0This is a game to get off the shneid.<\/p>\n
