There are a lot of storylines for this odd, labour stoppage shortened NBA season but there probably isn\u2019t one you can think of that features the Portland Trailblazers. \u00a0 <\/p>\n
Wednesday February 15 Matchup<\/a>\u00a0|\u00a0Preview<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Portland<\/strong><\/p>\n This is a team that features a dominant low post threat, and will probably make the playoffs, but you really can\u2019t blame the national news for focusing on stories like Linsanity and the Oklahoma City Thunder.<\/p>\n Just don\u2019t forget the Blazers are a pretty good team.<\/p>\n That dominant low post threat is Lamarcus Aldridge, who has posted some of the most monster games in the league this year. \u00a0He just never seems to make SportsCenter with his vanilla game, which just might make him this generation\u2019s Tim Duncan (sorry Tim – I know you are still playing).<\/p>\n He is surrounded by a nice cast but I thought forward Gerald Wallace would produce more. \u00a0Maybe the cast is too deep for him come up with the numbers we saw in Charlotte.<\/p>\n Golden State<\/strong><\/p>\n The Golden State Warriors can be one of the most exciting teams to watch in the league. \u00a0 [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n They are 4th in the league in scoring With Monta Ellis, David Lee and Steph Curry forming a pretty lethal trio. \u00a0The Warriors enter Wednesday night on a three game winning streak, their best of the season, including three straight covers.<\/p>\n Is this franchise finally getting pointed in the right direction with new coach Marc Jackson at the helm?<\/p>\n I think so. \u00a0If you look at the last three wins you see a road victory at Denver and home wins against decent Houston and Phoenix squads. \u00a0Perhaps even more impressive was their close home loss against Western Conference leader Oklahoma City.<\/p>\n They had the lead heading into the fourth quarter with their big three scoring 89 points but they didn\u2019t get enough support from the rest of the crew was quiet.<\/p>\n Their lack of depth is the team\u2019s biggest weakness, especially against better teams.<\/p>\n
