The Dallas Mavericks have been a bit hard by the injury bug, but most of their key players are set to return just in time for Sunday’s revenge match up with cross-state rival the San Antonio Spurs who themselves are without the services of two of their star players. <\/p>\n

Ford when they roll into the Big D.<\/p>\n Not good for a San Antonio team that despite being a dominant 10-1 at home this season, is a different team on the road, going just 2-7 away from AT&T Center, including an 87-79 loss at Minnesota. on Friday<\/p>\n The Spurs (12-8) leading scorer, Tony Parker once again turned in a prime performance with 20-points, but didn’t get much help as partner in crime Tim Duncan struggled, shooting just 2 for 12 from the floor and finished with nine points and 10 rebounds.<\/p>\n Parker kept the Spurs close in the fourth, dropping seven of his team-high 20 points in the final frame.[soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n That defense has come and gone lately, with San Antonio, and now they will face their toughest challenge, containing the Mavs’ Dirk Nowitzki, who despite missing the last four games due to knee and conditioning issues, is still averaging a decent 17.5 points per game.<\/p>\n The Spurs held Nowitzki to six points in their last meeting.<\/p>\n Nevertheless, the Mavericks seem to be on a roll. Winners of four of the last five – including three of four.
