After three straight victories the Raiders cooled last weekend, which is weird because the weather was good in Miami. <\/p>\n
Oakland Raiders vs Green Bay Packers Oakland<\/strong><\/p>\n The Raiders just didn\u2019t come to play against the Dolphins and lost by 20. \u00a0Now they are tied with Denver but they have the tougher road to hoe with games against Green Bay this week and Detroit next. \u00a0Last week was a golden opportunity to gain control and they blew it.<\/p>\n To have any shot against Green Bay the Raiders are going to have to score some points. \u00a0That means that Carson Palmer is going to have to play well, which he has done only about half the time since joining the Silver and Black. \u00a0It would help if D-Mac was playing on Sunday but Michael Bush has proven to be very capable and with him pounding the rock they might be able to chew up clock as well – best case scenario.<\/p>\n The Raiders are tied with Denver but their outlook isn\u2019t very good. \u00a0They have a ton of injuries and the last thing you want to be against Green Bay is shorthanded. \u00a0These two teams don\u2019t meet often and the Raiders \u00a0haven\u2019t won at Green Bay since 1998. \u00a0They have to get off to a good start or else this one could be over by halftime. \u00a0\u00a0[soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n Green Bay<\/strong><\/p>\n There are only 4 more games on the Packers quest for perfection. \u00a0Three of the four are at home with the last two games of the regular season against division rivals they have already beaten in Chicago and Detroit. \u00a0Last week Green Bay barely escaped New York. \u00a0Was it a wakeup call or an indicator that this team is due for a fall? \u00a0My guess is probably neither.<\/p>\n The Packers are a very good team but the season thus far has shown that their defense can keep opponents in the game. \u00a0They are just 17th in points allowed giving up 21ppg. \u00a0They have most of the same personnel from a year ago but this team is giving up yards in bunches. \u00a0Luckily, they still have a knack for big defensive plays like last week\u2019s pick 6 by pass rushing terror Clay Matthews.<\/p>\n Obviously the Packers have been winning but they have been cashing checks too with an 8-4 ATS record. \u00a0At home they have been an especially strong play with a 4-1 record against the number. \u00a0But when the number is above -10 they are only 3-2 ATS. \u00a0They should win easily but I think the Raiders will put up enough fight to cover.<\/p>\n ATS Pick: \u00a0Oakland +12.5 Oakland Raiders vs. Green Bay Packers matchup this Sunday.
