The Weisguy takes over for Matt and offers up these recaps for your NFL viewing pleasure. <!--more--> <\/p>\n<p><strong>Seattle 31 &#8211; Philadelphia 14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vince Young looked pathetic but he didn\u2019t get much help from his teammates.\u00a0 Maybe Pete Caroll is a better NFL coach then we gave him credit for.\u00a0 He just might be a crappy personnel guy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New England 31 &#8211; Indianapolis 24<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t be fooled by the score.\u00a0 Indianapolis scored the last 17 points of the ball game.\u00a0 Much to the chagrin of Pats backers everywhere.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Denver 35 &#8211; Minnesota 32<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tim Tebow leads the way to another victory only this time it wasn\u2019t in spite of him.\u00a0 He easily had his best day passing as a pro hooking up with DeMaryius Thomas multiple times on big plays.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tennessee 23 &#8211; Buffalo 17<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Bills outgained their opponents but were done in by turnovers.\u00a0 Losing that battle cost them the game as their season spirals into meaninglessville.\u00a0 Tennessee keeps their playoff hopes alive.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miami 34 &#8211; Oakland 14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Raiders sputtered in a game I thought they would handle easily.\u00a0 They just couldn\u2019t run the ball or stop the run.\u00a0 The former is usually their strong suit and Carson Palmer couldn\u2019t compensate.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>New York Jets 34 &#8211; Washington 19<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It took them awhile but the Jets eventually put the Skins in their place.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t pretty but it has kept them alive for another week.\u00a0 The AFC is really bunchy for that last Wild Card spot.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Houston 17 &#8211; Atlanta 10<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Falcons were brutal in a critical game that could have given them a leg up in terms of the playoffs.\u00a0 T.J. Yates was adequate for Houston but it was hardly a confidence inspiring performance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pittsburgh 35 &#8211; Cincinnati 7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Final score makes it look worse than it actually was.\u00a0 The Bengals are a pretty good team but not good enough to beat others when they shoot themselves in the foot.\u00a0 They lost the turnover battle and had 10 penalties.\u00a0 Still in the playoff race though, for now.\u00a0\u00a0   [soliloquy id=&#8221;82219&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carolina 38 &#8211; Tampa Bay 19<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Josh Freeman couldn\u2019t answer the bell and Josh Johnson replaced him.\u00a0 He wasn\u2019t terrible but without much support from the running game he was limited.\u00a0 Cam Newton set a rushing TD record.\u00a0 Not bad for a rookie.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Baltimore 24 &#8211; Cleveland 10<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Ravens punished the Browns on the ground.\u00a0 That is the only thing that kept this one from looking as bad on paper as it did on the tube.\u00a0 If you consider giving 290 yards rushing looking good on paper.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Green Bay 38 &#8211; New York Giants 35<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Giants gave the Packers all they could handle and then some.\u00a0 But with the game hanging in the balance Aaron Rodgers calmly led a game winning drive to preserve the perfect season.\u00a0 Its just the kind of close call a team like this needs to keep focused.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arizona 19 &#8211; Dallas 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the Giants losing the Cowboys blew a real opportunity to create some distance in the NFC East.\u00a0 It was a sluggish performance that they will be kicking themselves about if they get left out of the playoffs in the NFC.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>San Francisco 26 &#8211; St. Louis 0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I suppose it is fitting that San Francisco used a dominating defensive effort to clinch the division.\u00a0 They held the Rams to a meagre 157 yards of offense while Alex Smith had his best day of the season.\u00a0 That is a winning combo for sure.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Orleans 31 &#8211; Detroit 17<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t a great showing by the Lions but the Saints are difficult to stop on their home turf.\u00a0 They are sitting in a great spot in the NFC South and Drew Brees was red hot once again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>San Diego 38 &#8211; Jacksonville 14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Chargers finally delivered the kind of performance we have been expecting all season long.
