Week 12 in the NFL is in the books. The Weisguy takes over for Matt and offers up these recaps for your NFL viewing pleasure. <\/p>\n
Green Bay 27 – Detroit 15<\/strong><\/p>\n I don\u2019t want to discount the Packers performance but the Lions did themselves in with turnovers and penalties.\u00a0 This Green Bay team makes big plays but they also avoid mistakes.<\/p>\n Dallas 20 – Miami 19<\/strong><\/p>\n The Dolphins probably should have won on Thanksgiving but they just couldn\u2019t get the ball into the end zone.\u00a0 Kicker Shayne Graham kicked 4 FGS all under 30 yards. You have to punch it in to win.<\/p>\n Baltimore 16 – San Francisco 6<\/strong><\/p>\n A hard fought game that Mama Harbaugh can be proud of.\u00a0 Baltimore wins because they made the plays in the 4th quarter to put points on the board.<\/p>\n Atlanta 24 – Minnesota 14<\/strong><\/p>\n It wasn\u2019t an overly impressive performance by the Falcons but in a game they had to have they got the job done.\u00a0 With Adrian Peterson out things are going from bad to worse for the Vikings.<\/p>\n Carolina 27 – Indianapolis 19<\/strong><\/p>\n The Colts don\u2019t seem to be quitting but they aren\u2019t getting better either.\u00a0 For fantasy fans that Reggie Wayne guy showed up this week with 122 yards.\u00a0 We haven\u2019t really seen much of him this season.<\/p>\n Tennessee 23 – Tampa Bay 17<\/strong><\/p>\n It looked like Tampa was going to break through, finally, but instead it was Chris Johnson who rushed for 190 yards.\u00a0 The Bucs lost an astounding 4 fumbles in the game, limiting their chances.<\/p>\n Houston 20 – Jacksonville 13<\/strong><\/p>\n Matt Leinart just can\u2019t catch a break.\u00a0 He is in a great situation but broke his collarbone in a fairly easy win for the Texans.\u00a0 They didn\u2019t dominate in the running game but were solid.\u00a0 This team looks like a shoein for the playoffs now.<\/p>\n Arizona 23 – St. Louis 20<\/strong><\/p>\n Beanie Wells seems to finally be living up to his promise.\u00a0 He set a Cardinals record with 228 yards on the ground on Sunday.\u00a0 That and another punt return for a TD were enough for the Cardinals to escape with a victory.<\/p>\n New York Jets 28 – Buffalo 24<\/strong><\/p>\n The Bills blow another one and are officially out of the playoff picture it seems.\u00a0 Mark Sanchez threw for 4 TDs including one with a minute left to grab the victory and enable the Jets to stay in the playoff race. [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n Cincinnati 23 – Cleveland 20<\/strong><\/p>\n Great win for the Bengals.\u00a0 Not because the Browns are all that good but because they had to have it and fought hard to win.\u00a0 This team isn\u2019t flashy but they get results.\u00a0 Andy Dalton plays like a 10 year vet, most of the time.<\/p>\n Washington 23 – Seattle 17<\/strong><\/p>\n The Redskins dominated in the stats but had to use a large 4th quarter comeback on the field to get the victory.\u00a0 If you were actually watching and rooting for the Skins it might have been fun to watch the last 10 minutes.\u00a0 If you weren\u2019t this game was yuck.<\/p>\n Oakland 25 – Chicago 20<\/strong><\/p>\n Oakland just keeps on winning.\u00a0 Chicago struggled in its first game without Jay Cutler and is going to be hard pressed to find many more wins if they can\u2019t get better play at QB.\u00a0 As Cutler showed us it doesn\u2019t have to be great.<\/p>\n New England 38 – Philadelphia 20<\/strong><\/p>\n Have we finally seen the last of the Eagles?\u00a0 Vince Young threw for 400 yards and it still wasn\u2019t enough to beat the Patriots.\u00a0 Not even close.\u00a0 The Pats are gathering steam.<\/p>\n Denver 16 – Sam Diego 13<\/strong><\/p>\n And Tim Tebow does it again, converting mediorcre statistics into a win…in overtime.\u00a0 The season is now officially lost for San Diego.\u00a0 What a waste.<\/p>\n Pittsburgh 13 – Kansas City 9<\/strong><\/p>\n Not sure whether this one was bad offense or good defense…probably both.\u00a0 Pittsburgh would have been in a bad spot if they lost.\u00a0 It would have been nice if they scored in the second half, but still a victory for the Steelers<\/p>\n
