The Seattle Seahawks hope to build on what was a very impressive win against the Baltimore Ravens last week when they travel to St. Louis to take on a Rams team that is coming off a win of their own \u2013 a 13 -12 thriller in Cleveland last week! <\/p>\n
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (3-6) vs. ST. LOUIS RAMS (2-7)<\/strong> Both teams are out of the race already in the NFC West but are starting to play a little better. The key to both sides is the running games.<\/p>\n Seattle is a notoriously bad road team but has looked better in their last few away from home. The determining factor to this game will be an emerging running game. Lynch had a good game in Dallas in the last road game \u2013 135 yards and a score and he is coming off a 109 yard, one score performance at home against the Ravens tough defense. Lynch gets a crack at the worst rushing defense in the NFL on Sunday \u2013 the Rams allow an average of 150.56 yards per game on the ground!<\/p>\n Tarvaris Jackson may have some success on Sunday but keep in mind he has yet to throw a touchdown since coming back from injury \u2013 he has just six touchdowns and nine interceptions on the season. Sidney Rice, Doug Baldwin and Ben Obomanu have become a pretty decent stable of receivers so Jackson should get some chances to end his drought.<\/p>\n Defensively, Seattle is middle of the road \u2013 19th against the pass and 12th against the run. Their goal is to stop Steven Jackson who is the bulk of St. Louis\u2019s offensive threat.<\/p>\n The Rams have two wins on the season. As shocking as it sounds, they may be lucky to have those two wins! The team is a mess offensively and defensively. [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n St. Louis will lean on Steven Jackson in this game. He has averaged 139 yards rushing in his last three games. He hasn`t scored in his last two games but he is certainly due! The Rams have the 16th ranked running game and the 26th ranked passing game.<\/p>\n St. Louis is as bad on defense as they are on offense! Their run defense is dead last in the NFL allowing over 150 yards per game this season. How do you win with numbers like that? They are 12th against the pass but that is due to the fact that teams don\u2019t have to throw to be successful.<\/p>\n Betting Prediction:<\/strong> The Seattle Seahawks have won 11 of the last 12 meetings with the Rams and are 9-3 ATS in those games. The Hawks are a very respectable 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games overall. The St. Louis Rams are 2-8 SU and ATS in their last 10 games and are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games at home.<\/p>\n One stat jumps off the page for me \u2013 Seattle is 3-1 SU and 4-0 ATS in their last four games when they have gained over 100 yards on the ground. Marshawn Lynch and the offensive line have been good for the Seahawks and with the Rams brutal run defense open for business; I can see the Hawks controlling this game.
