It is safe to say this season hasn\u2019t gone exactly as planned for the Florida State Seminoles. \u00a0They are essentially removed from the championship picture in the ACC but even though they have little to really play for they are playing much better with three straight victories. <\/p>\n
Alumni Stadium – Chestnut Hill, MA Florida State<\/strong><\/p>\n The competition hasn\u2019t been great but they have won those games by 25, 25, and 34 points, with the defense really coming on.<\/p>\n They have been beating up on patsies and get another one on their visit to Boston College, a team that has given them fits in the past. \u00a0After getting his timing back (sort of) in the loss to Wake Forest, QB E.J. Manuel has been much better. \u00a0In this one all he has to do is not lose the game. \u00a0The FSU defense has been mean lately and in Boston College they do not face a very strong attack. \u00a0If they can score 17 or more points that should probably be enough.<\/p>\n Florida State should be able to breeze through BC this year, as long as they put in the right amount of effort. \u00a0The -14.5 points you have to spot here should be more than enough as I don\u2019t see the Eagles putting up more than 10 themselves. \u00a0If this FSU group has designs on being a legit contender next year than this is the type of game they need to show us something in.<\/p>\n Boston College<\/strong><\/p>\n The BC program knew it was going to be a tough year in 2011 but I think the team has fallen more than anyone expected. \u00a0Before last week\u2019s win at Maryland the Eagles didn\u2019t even have a win over an FBS opponent this season. \u00a0Scanning the schedule they might not get another one either unless they can beat N.C. State next week. [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n This team hasn\u2019t given up, the talent just isn\u2019t there right now.<\/p>\n The way the Eagles offense is struggling it is hard to imagine that it wasn\u2019t that long ago that Matt Ryan worked his on campus magic into becoming the #1 pick in the draft. \u00a0Also, Dominique Davis, the gunslinger from ECU, was on campus for a while afterwards. \u00a0Now they have Chase Rettig and it hasn\u2019t been pretty. \u00a0The lack of a passing game has diminished the running game too, although having Montel Harris injured hasn\u2019t helped either.<\/p>\n When these two meet in the ACC the home team is just 2-4. \u00a0Last year\u2019s game was a nailbiter but this one should be far from it. \u00a0This team just doesn\u2019t score enough points to win.
