The Chicago Bears won on Sunday night against a horribly troubled Minnesota Vikings team.. \u00a0At 3-3 they are staying alive in the early NFC playoff picture but they have a lot of work to do if they want to challenge the NFC North leaders Detroit and Green Bay. \u00a0 <\/p>\n
Chicago Bears vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Chicago<\/strong><\/p>\n This is still a very flawed team that despite the 29 point victory is still trying to figure out how to consistently generate offense. \u00a0There was a rumoured spat between QB Jay Cutler and OC Mike Martz. \u00a0That is not a good sign.<\/p>\n Sunday night was the Devin Hester show. \u00a0You would think a familiar opponent like Minnesota would know that you can\u2019t kick to this guy but there they were getting burned for a 98 yard kickoff return. \u00a0Last week he was also a threat in the passing game with a TD catch and close to 100 yards receiving. \u00a0Still his up and down production is characteristic of the challenges the Bears are having on offense…as usual. \u00a0Matt Forte is the only consistent threat.<\/p>\n The Bears are completing their tour of the NFC South with this trip. \u00a0So far they are 2-1 with wins over Carolina and Atlanta. \u00a0Chicago is 0-2 on the road this season which is why it was surprising to see them installed as a short favourite this week – a little too much respect from last week I presume. \u00a0I just don\u2019t see it, especially with the Bears 2-5 ATS record this season and inconsistent offense. [soliloquy id=”82219″] <\/p>\n Tampa Bay<\/strong><\/p>\n Last week was one of the all time great rebound efforts as the Buccaneers came back from their debacle against San Francisco to upset New Orleans at home. \u00a0They controlled the game throughout holding the Saints to their lowest point total of the season. \u00a0It was a huge win as they are now tied with the Saints at the top of the NFC South.<\/p>\n With running backLeGarrette Blount out I was concerned about the Bucs running game. \u00a0Earnest Graham stepped up with more than a 100 yards on the ground but to be fair the Saints defense isn\u2019t the most stout. \u00a0The Bucs are likely to find it more challenging this week against the Bears forcing QB Josh Freeman to play well once again. \u00a0I cam consistently impressed with Freeman. \u00a0He is a way better QB than I ever would have expected and he has a nice set of weapons to work with.<\/p>\n The Bucs have a bye next week and then a visit to New Orleans after that so it is only natural that they might be looking ahead. \u00a0I expect this will be a very physical game but I like the Bucs edge at QB and \u00a0the fact that the Bears might be overconfident after their game against Minnesota where they barely broke a sweat. \u00a0The Bucs are a strong play this week.<\/p>\n ATS Pick: \u00a0Tampa +1 The CappersPicks.com NFL football weekly predictions pages!
