This is the first Mountain West Conference game for the Broncos. \u00a0Right now it is looking like they will slice right through the conference en route to another perfect season. <\/p>\n
Boise State Broncos vs Colorado State Rams Boise State<\/p>\n There are a couple of teams that might provide a challenge but it would be hard to make a case for Colorado State. \u00a0Boise State is on the lookout for style points and this game probably will not provide them.<\/p>\n Boise State might have had its most impressive win to date against Fresno State last week. \u00a0They have been clobbering foes all season but winning by 50 points always gets the attention of people. \u00a0In fact the score was 50-0 before Fresno finally crossed the goal line in the 4th quarter. \u00a0When this team plays clean (no turnovers and only 2 penalties last week) they are near impossible to stop.<\/p>\n After a couple of ATS losses the Broncos were again a winning play covering easily against Fresno State. \u00a0As a result the number this week is a whopping 32 points. \u00a0Boise is one of the few teams who seem to be able to cover at almost any number. \u00a0However, there are much better values on the board this week than laying 32 big ones on the road – even with Boise. \u00a0[soliloquy id=”82219″] <\/p>\n Colorado State<\/p>\n Colorado State is enjoying more success than usual this season with three wins already, including two on the road. \u00a0If it wins the games its supposed to the Rams just might become bowl eligible. \u00a0Unfortunately this is not one of them. \u00a0The key will be how close Colorado State can keep it and whether they can keep their confidence for an important game they must win next week at a weak UTEP.<\/p>\n Despite the positive statements above this is still a mediocre team. \u00a0Sophomore QB Pete Thomas is continuing to develop and should eclipse his yardage total from last year but he still turns the ball over more than you would like. \u00a0If you look at things statistically then the best phase of the game for the Rams is pass defense but that might be a fallacy as teams have little trouble running against them and can afford to play conservatively when they are leading.<\/p>\n Colorado State has been a miserable ATS play with just a 1-4 record thus far. \u00a0Normally I would be drawn to an underdog this big but when you are staring down a motivated Broncos team it is hard to make an argument for the opponent. \u00a0Even though this is a big number if you like Colorado State I would wait. \u00a0It might actually move closer to 35 by kickoff. \u00a0Heres a stat: \u00a0Colorado State has lost 12 straight to ranked opponents by an average of 27 points.<\/p>\n ATS Pick: \u00a0Boise State -32 The CappersPicks.com college football weekly predictions pages!
