Who To Pick Up? Waiver Wire<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The first round of byes happens in Week 5. It is time to scour the waiver wires to replace the Studs from Baltimore, Dallas, Cleveland, Miami, St. Louis and Washington that are all out of action this week. There are some quality pickups for this week \u2013 take a look at Dave B\u2019s Week 5 Waiver Wire and good luck! <\/p>\n

QBs<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Jason Campbell \u2013 Oakland Raiders \u2013<\/strong> Campbell has been on the radar for a few weeks but now is time to admit that he may just be an OK Fantasy prospect. Against New England, Campbell passed for 344 yards and a touchdown while adding another 29 yards on the ground. He\u2019s got Houston in Week 5 in what could be a high scoring game.<\/p>\n

Andy Dalton \u2013 Cincinnati Bengals \u2013<\/strong> Dalton could be an OK pickup this week for his matchup against Jacksonville. He is coming off a 298 yard passing effort and is two weeks removed from a 332 yards game against Denver.<\/p>\n

Colt McCoy \u2013 Cleveland Browns \u2013<\/strong> McCoy threw the ball an astounding 61 times in Week 4 \u2013 he\u2019s not scared to chuck it. In Week 5 he has Oakland in what could be another fairly high scoring game. After his Week 4 – 350 yards passing game, McCoy is worth a look.<\/p>\n

Others to Monitor:<\/strong> Tavaris Jackson \u2013 Seattle Seahawks, Charlie Batch \u2013 Pittsburgh Steelers<\/p>\n

RBs<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Ryan Torain \u2013 Washington Redskins \u2013<\/strong> Torain came on in Week 4 and ripped off 135 yards and a touchdown. Tim Hightower is quickly falling out of favour in Washington and Roy Helu doesn\u2019t appear ready for the lead back role. Washington has hinted at a time-share so be careful in your assessment of Torain.<\/p>\n

Steven Ridley \u2013 New England Patriots \u2013<\/strong> Ridley proved that his Week 3 breakout was no fluke with 97 yards and a touchdown in Week 4. He is the best runner in New England by a wide margin but like Torain could be in a time-share role with New England.<\/p>\n

Isaac Redman \u2013 Pittsburgh Steelers \u2013<\/strong> Rashard Mendenhall has been absolutely brutal this season and now comes word of a hamstring injury. Redman had 6 carries for 40 yards in Week 4 and has proven worthy of more touches for the Steelers going forward.<\/p>\n

Others to Monitor:<\/strong> Michael Bush \u2013 Oakland Raiders<\/p>\n

WRs<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Jacoby Jones \u2013 Houston Texans \u2013<\/strong> Andre Johnson is likely to sit out this week opening the door for Jones who has averaged 5 catches and 92.5 yards when Johnson is out of the lineup. He has produced before and will be called upon to do so again. [ad-8469823]<\/p>\n

Steve Breaston \u2013 Kansas City Chiefs \u2013<\/strong> Breaston has become a valuable possession receiver for a KC team that simply cannot run the ball since Jamaal Charles went down. In PPR leagues, Breaston is a decent add.<\/p>\n

Antonio Brown \u2013 Pittsburgh Steelers \u2013<\/strong> Brown has become a viable second or third option for Ben Roethlisberger with the rapid decent of Hines Ward. He had five catches for 67 yards in Week 4.<\/p>\n

Sidney Rice \u2013 Seattle Seahawks \u2013<\/strong> It is incredible that people are not yet buying into Rice who is still available in a lot of leagues. He is a clear WR1 on a Seattle team that suddenly looks competent in the passing game.<\/p>\n

Others to Monitor:<\/strong> Josh Morgan \u2013 San Francisco 49ers, Victor Cruz \u2013 New York Giants, Kevin Walter \u2013 Houston Texans, Jonathan Baldwin \u2013 Kansas City Chiefs, Darrius Heyward-Bey \u2013 Oakland Raiders<\/p>\n

TEs<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Jared Cook \u2013 Tennessee Titans \u2013<\/strong> Cook is going to see more targets (6 in Week 4) since Kenny Britt was lost for the season. His talent is unquestionable and his upside is tremendous.<\/p>\n

Kevin Boss \u2013 Oakland Raiders \u2013<\/strong> Boss had 4 catches for 78 yards in Week 4 and finally caught the eye of Jason Campbell. Boss has proven valuable in the past and has a chance in Oakland to become a big part of that offense as well.<\/p>\n

Defense<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Cincinnati Bengals \u2013<\/strong> If you have Baltimore on a bye this week, Cincinnati should be available to you. They have averaged 2 \u00bd sacks and one turnover per game. This week, they draw the Jacksonville Jaguars and their rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert.<\/p>\n

Tennessee Titans \u2013<\/strong> This unit has been solid all season and this week get Pittsburgh and a possibly hobbled Ben Roethlisberger and ineffective Rashard Mendenhall. One thing that we know is that Pittsburgh is not immune to the occasional turnover!<\/p>\n
