Facing the Mets, Marlins and Nationals in succession, they\u2019ve lost three straight series. [dfads params=’groups=10&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n Now just a game up on the St. Louis Cardinals for the NL Wildcard through Sunday\u2019s games, they\u2019ll try to right the ship at home to the Phillies this week.<\/p>\n Derek Lowe gets the call on Tuesday. His 16 losses so far this season are a career worst and a stunning number for someone on an 89-win team. September has been an utter nightmare for Lowe; in four starts this month, he\u2019s 0-4 with an 8.24 ERA.<\/p>\n PHI are 2-8 in their last 10 overall. The pick:<\/strong><\/p>\n Though Oswalt isn\u2019t at his best, Lowe is worse off at the moment. The sinkerballer\u2019s sinker ain\u2019t sinkin\u2019 and he has no confidence right now. The Phillies have beaten him two straight times, scoring 11 runs (nine earned) in 11 innings.<\/p>\n Look for Hunter Pence and Chase Utley to lead the charge in a Phillies victory on Tuesday. Pence continues to flourish since joining the Phillies via trade and is a .471 hitter in 17 at-bats against Lowe. Utley is 15 for 36 (.417) with a pair of homers off Lowe.<\/p>\n Bet on Lowe to disappoint again \u2013 and on the Braves to lose.<\/p>\n
