Tulsa may be just 1-2 but they should feel no shame in being rolled by their in-state rivals Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. \u00a0The task is no easier this week as they travel to Boise to take on yet another top 10 team – on the Smurf Turf where the Broncos almost never lose. <\/p>\n
Broncos Stadium – Boise, Idaho<\/strong> They have two more games to get ready for Conference USA action, where, if they can be healthy, they can be a factor.<\/p>\n That reference to health has to do with Tulsa QB G.J. Kinne – the Texas transfer who is the core of their dynamic offense, especially with all purpose wiz Damaris Johnson on suspension due to legal troubles. \u00a0At Boise is not a place you want to be with blanks in your gun, although the Tulsa staff are saying all the right things about backup Kalen Henderson, even though he had never thrown a collegiate pass before this season. \u00a0Tulsa wins by outscoring folks and there ability to do so is severely hampered right now.<\/p>\n Tulsa has never beaten Boise State (0-5). \u00a0They played most recently in 2009, covering as 9 point home dogs, losing 28-21. \u00a0In fact their last three games against the Broncos has have been decided by a TD or less. \u00a0However, the fact is that this year is the biggest spread we have seen in this series. \u00a0It is a shame Kinne is out because with him they would have had a puncher\u2019s chance. \u00a0\u00a0[soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n It is totally unfair that Boise State is held to such a high standard. \u00a0I am a victim of it too as I watched a chunk of their game against Toledo and wasn\u2019t overly impressed as they won by a mere 22 points. \u00a0Now they get a bit of a gift as they should not really be challenged by a Tulsa team missing its leader. \u00a0The only thing that might be affecting them is that they have Nevada next week – the lone black mark on their pursuit of perfection last year.<\/p>\n Kellen Moore is proving once again that to be elite in college football does not require elite athletic talent. \u00a0He is shredding defenses once again even without a pair of NFL calibre receivers. \u00a0To put it simply he is just getting it done and it is a fitting legacy that he will soon be the winningest QB in CFB history. \u00a0This week should be another notch on the belt as Tulsa had a hard time stopping Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. \u00a0He has never lost a home game – awesome.<\/p>\n With Kinne out maybe this is a season where everything will align for the Broncos. \u00a0There can be only one undefeated team from the SEC and it wouldn\u2019t be a real shock if there were none. \u00a0That just might enable them to slip through the crack and play for the Championship if some other teams are distracted \u00a0by conference armageddon…maybe.<\/p>\n ATS Pick: \u00a0Tulsa +31.5<\/strong> The CappersPicks.com college football weekly predictions pages!
