Week 2 Studs and Duds<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Week 2 is nearly over and if the first two weeks are any indication, this season is going to produce more than its share of Studs. Offenses are exploding but there are still a few missing the boat.<\/p>\n

Studs of the Week:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Myles Austin \u2013 Dallas Cowboys \u2013<\/strong> Austin had the game of his career in Week 2. Without Dez Bryant to take some of the focus off, Austin on a balky hamstring caught 9 passes for an incredible 143 yards and 3, yes 3 touchdowns. Can you say STUD!<\/p>\n

Vincent Jackson<\/strong> \u2013 San Diego Chargers \u2013 Jackson had himself a game too. After making the Dud list last week, 10 catches, 172 yards and two scores has VJax co-Stud of the Week.<\/p>\n

Other Studs:<\/strong><\/p>\n

QBs<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Cam Newton \u2013 Carolina Panthers \u2013<\/strong> Ya, maybe it is time to give Newton his due. He followed up an improbable 422 yards in Week 1 with 432 yards and a td throwing and another td on the ground. He did have 3 interceptions, but I will overlook that!<\/p>\n

Matthew Stafford \u2013 Detroit Lions \u2013<\/strong> Stafford is on fire! He passed for 4 more touchdowns this week on 294 yards. He has quickly become unbenchable in Fantasy and he looks like an every week Stud!<\/p>\n

Tom Brady \u2013 New England Patriots \u2013<\/strong> Insane! Brady carved up a very good Chargers defense to the tune of 423 yards and three scores. Brady is a Studly as they come!<\/p>\n

Honourable Mention:<\/strong> Matt Hasselbeck \u2013 Tennessee Titans, Tony Romo \u2013 Dallas Cowboys, Drew Brees<\/p>\n

RBs<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Adrian Peterson \u2013 Minnesota Vikings \u2013<\/strong> Peterson is the only thing going for Minnesota. This Stud is carrying his team on his back. 141 combined yards and two touchdowns in Week 2 have AP on the Stud list again.<\/p>\n

Fred Jackson \u2013 Buffalo Bills \u2013<\/strong> Two weeks in a row? Jackson is defying expectation and becoming a Stud along the way. He had 130 combined yards (117 rushing) and two touchdowns on Sunday and is the most unforeseen Stud on the list.<\/p>\n

Matt Forte \u2013 Chicago Bears \u2013<\/strong> Forte is a combined yards monster. He has led his team in receiving in both their games this season and is running the ball effectively too. Forte has 166 combined yards (although only 49 on the ground) on his way to Stud \u2013 town!<\/p>\n

Honourable Mention:<\/strong> Jahvid Best \u2013 Detroit Lions, Peyton Hillis \u2013 Cleveland Browns, Darren McFadden \u2013 Oakland Raiders, LeSean McCoy<\/p>\n

WRs<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Steve Smith \u2013 Carolina Panthers \u2013<\/strong> Steve Smith has been sensational so far- another 156 yards on 6 catches has him on the Stud list for the second week in a row. Smith is on fire and is making his rookie QB look very good.<\/p>\n

Kenny Britt \u2013 Tennessee Titans \u2013<\/strong> Britt was a monster and helped the Titans to the biggest upset of Week 2. He had 9 catches, 135 yards and a td \u2013 worthy of the Stud list!<\/p>\n

Larry Fitzgerald \u2013 Arizona Cardinals \u2013<\/strong> 7 catches, 133 yards and a td. It was only a matter of time that Larry made the Stud list!<\/p>\n

Honourable Mention:<\/strong> Jeremy Maclin \u2013 Philadelphia Eagles, Tony Gonzalez \u2013 Atlanta Falcons, Mike Wallace \u2013 Pittsburgh Steelers, AJ Green \u2013Cincinnati Bengals, Eric Decker \u2013 Denver Broncos [ad-8469823]<\/p>\n

Dud of the Week:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Antonio Gates \u2013 San Diego Chargers<\/strong> – zero, nada, zilch, bubkiss! Thanks Antonio for making the Dud of the Week decision very, very easy.<\/p>\n

Other Duds:<\/strong><\/p>\n

QBs<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Joe Flacco \u2013 Baltimore Ravens \u2013<\/strong> Flacco had a pretty juicy matchup but was unable to generate much on Sunday. Less than 200 yards passing, only one td and two interceptions have Flacco on this week\u2019s Dud list.<\/p>\n

Matt Cassel \u2013 KC Chiefs \u2013<\/strong> Ugh! 133 yards passing, zero touchdowns and three interceptions = Dud!<\/p>\n

Donovan McNabb \u2013 Washington Redskins \u2013<\/strong> Get used to seeing McNabb on the list \u2013 he is an over-the-hill, season long Dud.<\/p>\n

RBs<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Chris Johnson \u2013 Tennessee Titans \u2013<\/strong> I am not sure what is going on here but in a game that his team won, Johnson generated 53 yards on 24 carries \u2013 barely over two yards per carry! BRUTAL!<\/p>\n

Felix Jones \u2013 Dallas Cowboys \u2013<\/strong> Jones separated his shoulder but played through it. All in all, Jones had 25 yards rushing on the day \u2013 a total Dud performance.<\/p>\n

Marshawn Lynch \u2013 Seattle Seahawks \u2013<\/strong> 11 yards rushing versus the Steelers!<\/p>\n

WRs<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Plaxico Burress \u2013 New York Jets \u2013<\/strong> Zero catches, two targets makes Burress a stinkin`Dud!<\/p>\n

Mike Williams \u2013 Tampa Bay Buccaneers \u2013<\/strong> One catch, minus four yards \u2013 seriously!<\/p>\n

Vernon Davis \u2013 San Francisco 49ers \u2013<\/strong> Davis continues to frustrate owners. On Sunday, he was virtually invisible catching two balls for 18 yards \u2013 Dud!<\/p>\n
