The Philadelphia Eagles will try and jump out to a 2-0 start when they invade the Georgia Dome this upcoming Sunday night to take on the Atlanta Falcons in a battle of NFC powers.\u00a0 Game time is set for 8:20 p.m. and it will be broadcast nationally on NBC. <\/p>\n
Date\/Time: Sunday, Sept.18\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 8:20 p.m. (ET) Michael Vick will be making his first start in the Georgia Dome since his days with the Falcons, but do not expect this homecoming to be a warm one. Last week Vick led Philadelphia to a 31-13 victory over St. Louis as a 4.5-point road favorite in a game that went \u2018over\u2019 the 43.5-point line. His overall numbers were not especially impressive, except his 98 yards on the ground. However, in typical fashion, Vick made enough big plays to get the job done.<\/p>\n The big concern for the Eagles moving forward is a completely rebuilt offensive line that had its share of problems against the Rams. This unit is going to have to come together quickly or this could be one of Vick\u2019s last starts if he continues to absorb the amount of hits he did last Sunday.<\/p>\n Atlanta has some issues of its own after an ugly season debut against Chicago. The Falcons came in as one-point road favorites, but fell completely flat in a 30-12 loss with the total barely climbing \u2018over\u2019 the 40.5-point line. [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n Matt Ryan threw for 319 yards and completed 31-of-47 attempts and Michael Turner added 100 yards on the ground on just 10 carries, but all Atlanta\u2019s offense could show for the effort were two Robbie Gould field goals. The other score came on a 50-yard interception return when the game was already decided.<\/p>\n The Eagles are 4-1 straight-up in their last five road games and the total has gone \u2018over\u2019 in six of their last seven games on the road. The Falcons are 8-2 SU in their last 10 home games and the total has gone \u2018over\u2019 in nine of their last 13 games overall.<\/p>\n Head-to-head in this series, Philadelphia comes into this matchup with an 8-1 SU record in the last nine games and a 10-1-1 record against the spread in the last 12 meetings.
