Race: Wonderful Pistachios 400 at Richmond International Raceway While many drivers have already locked into the Chase, there is still an outside chance that someone outside the top 10 could earn a Chase berth through one of two wildcard spots or by creeping into the top 10 with a win. Saturday\u2019s race will also be meaningful for the many patriotic tributes taking place, both on the track and throughout the sport, in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the 9\/11 attacks. \u2022 Jimmie Johnson (7\/1): Kyle Busch is the odds-on favorite this weekend, as he and Denny Hamlin have won the last five straight RIR races \u2013 Busch taking the three spring races and Hamlin the fall ones. Prior to that, however, Johnson won three of four in \u201907 and \u201908, sweeping the 2007 season. Jimmie is the current Sprint Cup points leader and qualified on the outside of Row 2 for Saturday night\u2019s race. He had the second-best 10-consecutive-lap average in Happy Hour practice and is one of four active drivers tied for career wins at Richmond with three a piece. <\/p>\n \u2022 Tony Stewart (10\/1): Stewart is also one of the four active drivers tied for career wins at Richmond with three and has the 4th-best average finish behind Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin and Clint Bowyer. Though his Richmond wins came earlier in his career (\u201999-\u201902), Stewart did run 9th here in April and has four other 2nd\u2013place finishes. He\u2019s also coming off his best finish in six weeks with a 3rd at Atlanta on Tuesday. As I noted last week, a victory this weekend will help Stewart and his team with momentum, as they are currently winless in 2011 heading into the Chase. The No. 14 car qualified 24th. [ad-8757089]<\/p>\n \u2022 Dale Earnhardt Jr. (25\/1): His 28th starting spot notwithstanding, Junior has a good overall record at Richmond, tied with Johnson, Kyle Busch and Stewart with three career Richmond wins. It will be up to crew chief Steve Letarte to make the needed adjustments to Dale Jr.\u2019s car if he is to climb through the field and have a shot at his first win in more than 100 races. A strong early half of the 2011 season has Junior looking fairly solid to make the Chase field. He was 3rd-fastest in Happy Hour on Friday. <\/p>\n David Reutimann and Jamie McMurray will lead the field to green Saturday night. Kurt Busch was the highest qualifying Dodge at 11th. Kyle Busch starts 13th and Denny Hamlin, 29th. Last week\u2019s Atlanta winner, Jeff Gordon, starts 17th, and had the best 10-consecutive lap average in Happy Hour.
