Reid enters his 13th season at the helm and while he has led this team to five NFC Championships and one Super Bowl; an elusive world title is the one main accomplishment he has yet to achieve.<\/p>\n

The Eagles are coming off a 10-6 record and NFC East title, but team owner Jeff Lurie is also hungry to win a Super Bowl, so he opened up the checkbook during the recent free-agent frenzy and brought in a number of high profile veterans in an effort to get his team back to the championship game.

Referred to by some as the \u2018dream team\u2019, the pressure has now been dialed up on Reid to mold all this individual talent into a championship-caliber team.<\/p>\n

The offense is set at the skill positions with Michael Vick at quarterback, DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin as the top two wide receivers, and LeSean McCoy and Ronnie Brown anchoring the running game. <\/p>\n

The Eagles drafted Danny Watkins in the first round and signed Ryan Harris as a free agent, but there are still some serious questions with the offensive line.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia\u2019s defense finished the 2010 season ranked 12th in the NFL, but holes in the front seven and the secondary cost it a few games along the way. [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n

To address these concerns, the Eagles signed lineman Jason Babin and Cullen Jenkins as free agents, traded Kevin Kolb for defensive back Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, and landed the biggest prize in this year\u2019s free agent market, cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha. <\/p>\n

The trick for new coordinator, Juan Castillo, will be figure out a defensive scheme that can best utilize the wealth of talent now assembled on this roster.<\/p>\n

There is no doubt that Philadelphia will win its share of games this season, but this team was built to win a championship now, and that is a lot pressure for a team that plays in one of the toughest towns around. <\/p>\n

It could be a shaky start for the Eagles until all this talent gels, but they will be the best team in the NFC by the time the cold winds of December roll around.<\/p>\n
