The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will attempt to close the gap in the Eastern Conference standings on Friday night when they travel to Winnipeg to take on the league leading Blue Bombers. <\/p>\n
HAMILTON TIGER-CATS (4-3) vs. WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS (6-1)<\/strong> Both teams have been playing well, making for a very intriguing matchup during a light week of CFL action.<\/p>\n \u00a0The Hamilton Tiger Cats, on paper, have a very balanced lineup. Kevin Glenn appears to be shaking a slow start and is showing the form that had him pass for over 5000 yards last season. His last game before the bye turned out to be his best effort of the season thus far \u2013 310 yards and two touchdowns. <\/p>\n He has Dave Stala and Chris Williams to throw the ball to and has seven players with at least 12 catches on the season. Glenn also has the benefit of one of the better rushers in the game \u2013 Avon Coubourne has been terrific this season since coming over from Montreal. [ad-4437448]<\/p>\n Winnipeg has been the surprise of the CFL so far this season having lost just once all season (21-20 against Calgary). <\/p>\n They have ridden solid running game (Fred Reid) and a superb defense to a 6-1 record. The defense has been the difference averaging 19 points per game against and leading the league in sacks so far. Buck Pierce and the passing game are last in the CFL but the running game is second in the CFL. <\/p>\n It is obvious that defense is once again going to have to rule if the Bombers want to go 7-1.<\/p>\n HAM are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 Fri. games.
