A battle of underachieving Western Conference teams comes our way from Vancouver on Friday night when the struggling Rough Riders meet the winless Lions. <\/p>\n
SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS (1-4) vs. BRITISH COLUMBIA LIONS (0-5)<\/strong> Both teams had lofty expectations going into 2011 and both have failed at every turn.<\/p>\n Needless to say, the pressure is on for both \u2013 another loss will almost certainly bury any post season aspirations and could lead to widespread changes only 1\/3 of the way through the season.<\/p>\n The Saskatchewan Rough Riders have been losing and losing badly. Offensively, the Lions haven\u2019t been all that bad \u2013 Travis Lulay has looked decent and the receiving corp. have been good.<\/p>\n A bigger contribution from Jamel Robertson will be critical going forward \u2013 the Lions absolutely have to keep their brutal defense off the field.<\/p>\n SAS are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 Fri. games. Saskatchewan has done very well recently against BC \u2013 4-1 SU in their last five meetings. But BC appears to be the better team at the moment and they are certainly due.<\/p>\n Outside of one brutal effort in Edmonton, BC has at least been competitive in every game.<\/p>\n I like the Lions to get off the schnide this week and at least get some company in the basement of the CFL standings.
