Indiana native Ryan Newman notes, “I don’t want to say it’s a hairy racetrack, but it keeps you on edge.

Speeds are up.

The dirty air part of it, because of the speeds and lack of banking, keeps you on edge.” Qualifying for Sunday’s race took place Saturday afternoon.

Safe Bet: (odds of less than 10/1)

• Jeff Gordon (10/1): Some drivers have lower odds than Gordon heading into Sunday’s race, but it’s worth noting that Gordon won the inaugural Brickyard 400 in 1994 and followed that up with wins in 1998, 2001, and 2004, making him the only four-time Brickyard winner in NASCAR. He also ranks 2nd in the average finish category (Tony Stewart is 1st).

Jeff had the best ten-consecutive-lap average in Friday’s second practice.

Mid Range: (odds between 10/1 – 20/1)

• Greg Biffle (15/1): In eight Brickyard 400 starts, Biffle has not posted a win, but he is riding a string of three consecutive top-10 Indy finishes, including a 4th in 2009 and a 3rd last year. Biffle is 14th in Cup points and needs at least one win before Richmond in September to garner one of two Chase wildcard spots.

Greg posted the fastest speed in practice Friday afternoon with a 178.310 mph lap.

Long Shot: (odds greater than 20/1)

• Kasey Kahne (25/1): Kahne was 2nd on the speed chart in practice Friday morning and 13th in the afternoon session. In seven Brickyard starts, he’s finished as high as 2nd (2005) and has four top-10s overall.

Kahne is 15th in points and, like Biffle, needs a win if he hopes to make the Chase.

Summary:

Despite the recent Chevy dominance here, both practices Friday were paced by Roush Fords: Matt Kenseth in the first practice and Greg Biffle in the second. [ad-8757089]

Only two drivers besides Jeff Gordon have multiple Brickyard wins: Jimmie Johnson (3) and Tony Stewart (2).

Jamie McMurray and Kevin Harvick each have a single Indy win.

NASCAR – Lenox Industrial Tools 301 Odds To Win

Denny Hamlin 4-1
Greg Biffle 15-1
Jamie McMurray 40-1
Jeff Burton 40-1
Jeff Gordon 12-1
Jimmie Johnson 6-1
Joey Logano 40-1
Juan Montoya 40-1
Kasey Kahne 30-1
Kevin Harvick 12-1
Kurt Busch 25-1
Kyle Busch 10-1
Marcos Ambrose 50-1
Mark Martin 40-1
Martin Truex Jr 40-1
Matt Kenseth 15-1
Paul Menard 75-1
Regan Smith 100-1
Ryan Newman 40-1
Tony Stewart 10-1
zx Field (Any Other Driver) 200-1
AJ Allmendinger 60-1
Bobby Labonte 500-1
Brad Keselowski 50-1
Brian Vickers 40-1
Carl Edwards 7-1
Clint Bowyer 25-1
Dale Earnhardt Jr 12-1
David Ragan 40-1
David Reutimann 50-1

CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT OUR 2011 NASCAR DRIVER STATS – STANDINGS – ACE NFO – AND MORE!!!

2011 Brickyard 400 betting preview and racing picks from motorsports gambling experts at capperspicks.com nascar betting site for the upcoming Nascar race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway…

[11
50968,45077,10364,50969,31499,10643,15999,30613,14474,728,50970,1188
post-41311","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nascar","tag-2011-brickyard-400","tag-2011-nascar-picks","tag-becca-gladden-articles","tag-brickyard-400-free-pick","tag-brickyard-400-lines","tag-free-nascar-predictions","tag-indianapolis-motor-speedway","tag-loudon","tag-nascar-gambling-online","tag-nascar-odds","tag-odds-to-win-2011-brickyard-400","tag-sprint-cup
["GET
