Things do appear to be on the rise at FSU but I am not convinced that this squad should is guaranteed to be the ACC Champion, and a dark horse BCS candidate if they shock the world and beat Oklahoma in September in Tallahassee. Florida State 3\/2 The ACC has struggled on a national stage lately but inside the conference teams battle each other every week for supremacy and I think there are as many as nine teams that have a real shot at the championship given team strengths and schedules.<\/p>\n Almost every team in the conference has some questions at QB opening up the races in both divisions and ultimately the championship game in December.<\/p>\n There are some very good reasons that the pundits are making the Seminoles the prohibitive favourites for the ACC crown. Top to bottom this is probably the most talented team in the conference and in a league full of quarterback newbies their new starter has more experience under his belt than about 6 other teams combined – and E.J. Manuel has performed well too.<\/p>\n Add that to what should be an intimidating defense and it is not hard to see why the oddsmakers really favour FSU. Their schedule should be pretty easy to tame with at most a single loss (Clemson?) occurring during the regular season, setting them up well to appear in the Championship Game.<\/p>\n It would be a surprise if they didn\u2019t make it at least that far.<\/p>\n Butch Davis is a very good coach and the defense should be very stingy again this year, with a couple of players who will be drafted, maybe more. ![\"\"](\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/ACC-e1298485932867.jpg\" "\\"ACC\\"")
