Who would you rather have \u2013 a talented rookie with serious upside or a veteran WR3 from the Buffalo Bills? Me too.<\/p>\n
Below is a list of the best rookie talent available in the 2011 Fantasy Football<\/a> drafts and how they should do in their respective situations.<\/p>\n Good luck and don\u2019t be afraid to share your thoughts about what Dave B has to say!<\/p>\n 1. Mark Ingram (RB – New Orleans)<\/strong> \u2013 Ingram will get a chance to make an impact right away in New Orleans. Mini \u201cEmmitt Smith\u201d should bring some stability back to the Saints backfield. Pierre Thomas is brittle, Reggie Bush appears to be on his way out of town and Chris Ivory simply isn\u2019t the answer. <\/p>\n Ingram is a decent mid-round flier and could end up as the most productive Rookie in Fantasy in 2011.<\/p>\n 2. A.J. Green (WR – Cincinnati)<\/strong> \u2013 Green could be the only decent receiver on the Bengals lineup if Ochocinco gets his way and if Terrell Owens is indeed done as a Bengal. His 6\u20194\u201d, 211 pound frame makes him Taylor-made for the NFL game and his blazing speed is something to behold. <\/p>\n Green is the captain of the new ship in Cincinnati and will be looking to make an impact right away \u2013 definitely draftable.<\/p>\n 3. Julio Jones (WR – Atlanta)<\/strong> \u2013 The Falcons REALLY wanted Julio Jones but the fact remains that he will play second fiddle to someone named Roddy White. He is an absolute burner however and will likely look a lot like Dez Bryant did in his rookie year \u2013 up and down and learning the ropes \u2013 take a chance if you are a gambler.<\/p>\n 4. Daniel Thomas (RB – Miami)<\/strong> \u2013 Thomas has a real chance to win the starting role in Miami, a team that has been dedicated to the run and should stay so. There is some doubt about Ricky Williams returning to the Fins and as always there are major concerns about the health of Ronnie Brown. <\/p>\n Thomas could be worth a late round flier!<\/p>\n 5. Ryan Williams (RB – Arizona)<\/strong> \u2013 Obviously and perhaps necessarily, the Arizona Cardinals drafted a Running Back in the second round of the draft. <\/p>\n Beanie Wells and Tim Hightower are still there but if they falter, Williams\u2019s power and speed could take over the starting role \u2013 monitor this situation closely.<\/p>\n 6. Greg Little (WR – Cleveland)<\/strong> – Little is a risk \u2013 he was forced to sit out last year after getting caught accepting \u201cgifts\u201d. He is big \u2013 6\u20193\u201d and 220 pounds and he is stepping onto a team that failed to have a receiver reach the 500 yard mark last season. Little could be a difference maker however.<\/p>\n 7. Mikel Leshoure (RB – Detroit)<\/strong> \u2013 Leshoure is a terrific compliment to the smallish, oft-injured Jahvid Best in Detroit. Leshoure could realistically become a huge part of the offense including short yardage and red zone opportunities.<\/p>\n 8. Cam Newton (QB – Carolina)<\/strong> \u2013 Newton will get every chance to shine this season but the fact remains that he is largely a green talent on a terrible team. If you are drafting Cam Newton in hopes of winning your league, I\u2019m truly sorry! [ad-8469823]<\/p>\n 9. Leonard Hankerson (WR – Washington)<\/strong> \u2013 Another Miami Hurricane could make a splash in the NFL sooner than later. Hankerson has the size and athleticism to make the Big Club right away and even steal some looks away from Washington\u2019s average WR2 Anthony Armstrong. <\/p>\n The QB situation in Washington is a mess but Hankerson\u2019s talent and situation are not.<\/p>\n 10. Roy Helu (RB – Washington)<\/strong> Any Running Back in Mike Shanahan\u2019s system is exciting and Helu is no exception. He\u2019s big \u2013 220 pounds and fast \u2013 sub 4.5 speed. He only has Ryan Torain and Keiland Williams ahead of him on the depth charts. <\/p>\n Keep a close eye on Mr. Helu.<\/p>\n 11.
