Optimism continues to grow about the NFL lockout\u2019s chances of ending. Rumor has it the two sides are discussing a collective bargaining agreement that would see the owners and players split the league\u2019s revenue. <\/p>\n
The players\u2019 share would be close to what it was the past 10 years but the league would no longer skim $1 billion off the top to expense credits. <\/p>\n
The new deal would also allow all players with at least four years of service to become unrestricted free agents and would implement a 16-week schedule of Thursday games. No word yet on whether or not the NFL Network would respond by hiring new, non-crappy broadcasters.
