Edwin Jackson is among the game\u2019s most maddeningly inconsistent hurlers but he\u2019s allowed two earned runs or fewer in five of his last seven starts. Maybe he\u2019s turning a corner. He\u2019s 1-1 with a 2.75 ERA against his former Arizona teammates but his overall track record at Chase Field is spotty (4-5, 5.23 ERA).<\/p>\n Facing the man they traded for Jackson, the Pale Hose will hope for continued brilliance from Paul Konerko at the dish and, hopefully, better effort from Adam Dunn. The big fella\u2019s average sits at a hideous .183 through 59 games but he has a pair of long balls and six RBI over his last five contests, so maybe he\u2019s coming around. [dfads params=’groups=10&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n <\/strong>Arizona Diamondbacks (37-32 through June 15)<\/strong> Arizona has levelled off a bit since rising to the top of the National League West a few weeks back. The Snakes have slipped into second behind San Francisco. Young gun Daniel Hudson isn\u2019t really to blame for any recent hiccups; over his last two starts, he\u2019s allowed three earned runs in 13 innings, striking out 14 batters.<\/p>\n Hudson is remarkably consistent wherever he pitches. At home, he\u2019s 8-4 with a 3.13 ERA in this career; away, he\u2019s 8-4 with a 3.16 ERA. Hudson has never faced the team that drafted him before.<\/p>\n
