The Boston Red Sox are peaking at the right time for an important weekend showdown with the Toronto Blue Jays, who always seem to play them tough at the Rogers Centre. <\/p>\n

Their pitching was supposed to improve dramatically this season but it\u2019s the offense carrying the team instead. The Jays are a top-six team in runs, batting average, OPS, homers and stolen bases. Two weeks ago, he was the laughing stock of baseball, tying a major-league record by going 28 starts without a win. Now, he\u2019s the proud owner of a two-game winning streak. Can he keep things going against a Boston team that chased him after three innings on April 16?<\/p>\n MLB Trends:<\/strong><\/p>\n Over is 7-0-2 in BOS last 9 overall. The pick:<\/strong><\/p>\n I expect the Jays to push Boston hard this weekend \u2013 but more on Saturday and Sunday. The matchup ain\u2019t good for Friday. Buchholz\u2019s history is too strong against the Jays and Reyes walked eight guys over his two wins. He\u2019s due to get rocked again.<\/p>\n
