Parity, parity, parity! What is this, the NFL? No division leader has a cushion greater than five games.<\/p>\n

That means the power rankings are jam-packed and the streaking teams make a greater jump than normal this week.<\/p>\n

1. (2) Philadelphia Phillies (34-21): <\/strong>Who knew that Cliff Lee would be the fourth-best guy in the Phantastic Phour at this point in the season?<\/p>\n

2. (1) Cleveland Indians (32-20): <\/strong>They\u2019ve been just OK of late. Now is the time for Shin-Soo Choo and Carlos Santana to pick up the slack, as their fast-starting teammates could be returning to Earth.<\/p>\n

3. (11) New York Yankees (30-23): <\/strong>Long live Bartolo Colon\u2019s crazy shoulder surgery! If he can stay legit all season, the Yanks will play October baseball.<\/p>\n

4. (9) Milwaukee Brewers (30-25): <\/strong>Believe the hype. The Brewers\u2019 arms are sizzling and catching up with the bats\u2019 prowess in a hurry.<\/p>\n

5. (7) St. Louis Cardinals (33-23): <\/strong>Trucking along even though Matt Holliday and most of the Cardinals lineup can\u2019t stay healthy.<\/p>\n

6. (12) Arizona Diamondbacks (30-25): <\/strong>Baseball\u2019s hottest team before they finally lost last night. You\u2019d think they were overachieving just because they\u2019re hosting the All-Star game \u2013 but then you see Justin Upton\u2019s towering homer and remember that the D-Backs may still have a superstar in the making.<\/p>\n

7. (6) Florida Marlins (31-22): <\/strong>If Anibal Sanchez keeps pitching like he is, maybe the Fish can survive while Josh Johnson heals up and Hanley Ramirez fixes his head, er, back.<\/p>\n

8. (14) Seattle Mariners (28-26): <\/strong>The M\u2019s have won eight of 10, largely because the kids are ahead of schedule. Is Dustin Ackley about to join the youth movement?<\/p>\n

9. (15) Detroit Tigers (28-26): <\/strong>Hot and cold, but the Tigers are hot again and Victor Martinez\u2019s return from injury is the catalyst.<\/p>\n

10. (5) Tampa Bay Rays (29-25): <\/strong>Encouraging to see the Rays only 1.5 games out of first when Evan Longoria is just getting warmed up.<\/p>\n

11. (4) Boston Red Sox (30-25): <\/strong>Remember when Adrian Gonzalez and Carl Crawford were the struggling newbies? Now it feels like they\u2019re the only two guys contributing on offense.<\/p>\n

12. (8) Texas Rangers (29-26): <\/strong>They need to build a cushion in the standings before Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz\u2019s next DL stints, which are inevitable.<\/p>\n

13. (13) Atlanta Braves (30-26): <\/strong>A 30-26 record is nothing to sneeze at but think about where they\u2019d be in the standings if Dan Uggla had shown anything at the plate. It\u2019s not too late.<\/p>\n

14. (3) San Francisco Giants (29-25): <\/strong>Only one team has scored fewer runs than the Giants. Is it time to pursue a trade? You know there\u2019s a market for Jonathan Sanchez out there. \"BetOnline\"<\/a><\/p>\n

15. (10) Toronto Blue Jays (28-27): <\/strong>The Jays have quietly become a pesky little fighter in the AL East. Jose Bautista is the big reason, of course, but Corey Patterson is becoming a fun redemption story.<\/p>\n

16. (16) Los Angeles Angels (29-28): <\/strong>in the hunt thanks to some recent late-game heroics. Maybe the AL West will be a four-horse race all season.<\/p>\n

17. (25) Los Angeles Dodgers (26-30): <\/strong>They\u2019re heating up but I still don\u2019t think they can win with a two-man offense.<\/p>\n

18. (29) San Diego Padres (24-31): <\/strong>Give them minor props for a four-game winning streak.<\/p>\n

19. (20) Chicago White Sox (26-31): <\/strong>A frustrating team given their talent. They had a horrific weekend in Toronto but have rallied in Boston, once again teasing us with their potential.<\/p>\n

20. (19) Cincinnati Reds (28-28): <\/strong>The way this team has pitched, it\u2019s time to wonder if the Reds won\u2019t climb higher than third in the NL Central again this season.<\/p>\n

21. (26) Oakland Athletics (27-29)<\/strong>
