Something has to give when Boston and Cleveland butt heads on Tuesday night. On one hand, the Indians had won 24 of their last 28 home games through Sunday; on the other, the Red Sox had won eight of nine games overall. On one hand, Josh Beckett had allowed one run in his last four starts combined; on the other, the Indians have scored 31 runs on him in 48.2 innings all-time.<\/p>\n

Beckett could have his hands full with hot-hitting second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera, a .400 lifetime hitter off him. \"Bet<\/a><\/p>\n

Cleveland Indians (29-15 through May 22)
\nFausto Carmona (3-4, 4.76)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Indians have been baseball\u2019s best team this season \u2013 though not always when Fausto Carmona pitches, The sinkerballer is a rollercoaster every time he starts. Most recently, the White Sox rocked him for eight runs in five innings.<\/p>\n

Carmona has done a decent job shutting down the Red Sox in his career, however, posting a respectable 3.44 ERA over 36.2 innings. David Ortiz is the only current member of Boston\u2019s lineup to ever elevate one of Carmona\u2019s pitches well enough for it to clear the fence.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Beckett\u2019s hot streak includes shutting out the Yankees. If he\u2019s hot enough to handle that lineup, I think he can deal with the Indians, who have been effective but are due to cool off sooner or later.<\/p>\n

The road pick feels right for Tuesday in Cleveland.<\/p>\n
