The NL West division-leading Colorado Rockies and the NL East leading Philadelphia Phillies wrap-up a quick two-game set this Thursday night at Citizens Bank Park. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. (ET) and it will be available on MLB TV.<\/p>\n

Colorado won just four of its last 10 games heading into this series, but still had a half-game lead over San Francisco in the division. It regained its tenuous lead after beating the Giants twice including a 5-3 victory as a 152 home favorite on Tuesday night. The win moved the Rockies to 22-18 on the year. They are now 11-10 at home and 11-8 on the road.<\/p>\n

Jhoulys Chacin is scheduled to get the start on Thursday for Colorado. He is 4-2 in eight previous starts this season with an ERA of 2.89 and a 1.17 WHIP. Chacin gave up four runs, three of them earned in a seventh inning meltdown against San Diego last Saturday to blow a six-run lead in a game the Rockies eventually lost 9-7. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Philadelphia\u2019s recent woes continued with a 2-1 loss to St. Louis as a 148 road underdog on Tuesday night. The Phillies have now lost four straight heading into Wednesday night\u2019s game with Colorado and are 4-6 in their last 10. They are 25-16 overall (12-9 on the road and 13-7 at home) and their lead over Florida in the East is down to just a half a game.<\/p>\n

It is Joe Blanton\u2019s turn in the rotation for Philadelphia. He is 1-2 in six starts with an ERA of 5.50. Blanton has given up 21 hits and seven earned runs in his last 17 innings pitched while striking out 10. The Phillies real problem over the past four games has been an offense that has only produced seven runs. Philadelphia is now ranked 10th in the NL in runs scored with 168.<\/p>\n

Head-to-head, this will be the first meeting this season but the Phillies won six of seven last season overall with Blanton pitching in two of those wins. Stick with Philadelphia this time around as well as its bats are due to start clicking again.<\/p>\n
