Think the Celtics could use Kendrick Perkins much tonight?<\/p>\n

Tonight\u2019s Game 4 would be right in Perk\u2019s wheelhouse. Especially if his BFF Rajon Rondo is unable to play.<\/p>\n

Not much was said publicly on Sunday, but it\u2019s a lock that the Celtics feel that Dwyane Wade\u2019s takedown of Rondo was a dirty play. In fact, there is the general feeling among the Celtics that Wade gets away with a lot of chippy stuff because he is one of the league\u2019s elite, and if it\u2019s anything the NBA wants, it\u2019s its elite players on the court.<\/p>\n

Rondo, he of the dislocated left elbow, will reportedly be a game-time decision tonight, and if he is limited only one arm, like he did in the fourth period in Game 3 on Saturday night, you can be sure that the Heat will be ready for him this time and won\u2019t let him operate without defensive pressure. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Doc Rivers would prefer a scoreboard retaliation, but that\u2019s not really how players roll in the NBA, and the Celtics are already plenty pissed about the Paul Pierce Game 1 incidents. Throw in the preening that the Heat players participated in in the waning moments of the first two games, and this one has the potential to get nasty \u2013 especially if Rondo is a scratch and the Heat go up big in the second half.<\/p>\n

As for the series itself, this one is starting to look it will go the distance, and the only thing that could prevent that is a road team starting to show some intensity. Boston (Games 1 and 2 at Miami) and the Heat in Game 3 at Boston all seemed content to keep their powder dry and go all-out at home.<\/p>\n

Figuring here that form holds and the Celtics get it together for another 48 minutes, making this a 3-game series with two in Miami.<\/p>\n
