The Chicago Blackhawks will attempt to eliminate the Vancouver Canucks for the third straight year \u2013 Game 1 goes Wednesday night! Make no mistake about it folk \u2013 these teams don\u2019t like each other. It should be fun to watch!<\/p>\n<p>The Chicago Blackhawks got lucky \u2013 a 5-4-1 finish to their season was barely good enough to qualify for the post season \u2013 thanks to Dallas laying an egg! The Hawks weren\u2019t exactly lighting up the scoreboard during their ho-hum stretch run \u2013 Kane was OK, Toews struggled a bit and Patrick Sharp was injured. The good news is that the boys get to face a team that they have lit up in the postseason. Kane has 16 points in 12 playoff games against Vancouver and Jonathan Toews has 12 points in his last six playoff games against Vancouver.<\/p>\n<p>Cory Crawford will start between the pipes for Chicago. Who knows \u2013 he could be the next Antti Niemi!<\/p>\n<p>The Vancouver Canucks have been building to this very point \u2013 the playoffs where they absolutely need to make some noise. And why not? They are the top offensive, defensive, power play and penalty killing team in the league. Offensively, defensively and in goal, the Canucks all come into the series looking very good!<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, the Sedins are going to have to be on top of their game \u2013 last season in a six game series against Chicago, the twins combined for only 10 points. Chicago totally shut them down!
