He is on the best team in an Eastern Conference that also includes Boston (Paul Pierce\/Kevin Garnett), Miami (LeBron James\/Dwyane Wade) and Orlando (Dwight Howard). He averages 25.1 points a game even though every team gears its defense to stopping him. <\/p>\n

Every Bulls possession that doesn\u2019t involve an opponent turnover followed by a fast break starts with the ball in Rose\u2019s hands. He is in the top 10 in the league in assists.<\/p>\n

Howard? Too immature, too volatile. James? You haven\u2019t been watching too closely. Kobe Bryant? Ok, but he doesn\u2019t have Rose\u2019s freshness.<\/p>\n

Can a team that relies on its point guard for scoring win an NBA title? It\u2019s been done. The Chauncey Billups-led Pistons stunned the Lakers in 2004, employing a stifling defense that is similar to the one that Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau has crafted in Chicago. \"Online<\/p>\n

The late-1980s Pistons relied on Isiah Thomas to supply offense, and the 2001 76ers made it to The Finals with Allen Iverson doing most of the damage. Not easy, but there is precedcent.<\/p>\n
