Even thought they couldn\u2019t get the pace up where they wanted the Washington Huskies squeezed out a victory against the Georgia Bulldogs in Round 2.\u00a0 Guard Isaiah Thomas once again led the way with 19 points but only one other Husky cracked double digits, reserve Scott Suggs, who usually isn\u2019t counted on so heavily.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Beating Georgia with a performance like that is one thing but to beat North Carolina they will need a much better effort throughout their roster, especially from their backcourt beyond Thomas to make it difficult for the Tar Heels.\u00a0 North Carolina is not a great matchup for this Husky team with their impressive size up front.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

However, like Washington they do want to play the game at an elevated so if the Huskies are making their shots to fall they could put pressure on the Tar Heels.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Speaking of pressure there will be a lot on forwards Matthew Bryan-Amaning and Darnell Gant to have the games of their lives in this one to make it to the next round. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Long Island Blackbirds fought valiantly but in the end their lack of size was their undoing against North Carolina.\u00a0 They shouldn\u2019t feel bad as few can compete with the combination of centre Tyler Zeller and forward John Henson, who combined for 60 points as there was little resistance for them up front.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

This is the Tar Heels greatest advantage against most of their opponents.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

With these two they generally outrebound their opponents which leads to coach Roy Williams famous secondary break as well as chip shot put back attempts.\u00a0 Few teams can compete with North Carolina up front which enables them to get away with a backcourt that by Tar Heel standards is ho hum.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The key for Carolina in beating the Huskies will be neutralizing Isaiah Thomas and the rest of a pesky, scoring backcourt.\u00a0 If their guards can play them even then they should win easily.<\/p>\n

NOCAR are 4-13 ATS in their last 17 Sun. games.
\nUnder is 9-3 in NOCAR last 12 Sun. games.<\/p>\n

Prediction: <\/strong>Washington is not LIU but they still don\u2019t a very deep or big frontcourt to compete with UNC.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

This is a more of a scrappy club that will fight for 40 minutes while coming up just a little short.<\/p>\n
