The Sacramento Kings (0-1 SU, 1-0 ATS, 0-1 O\/U) put up a valiant effort but fell just short in dropping their season opener 98-96 to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday. The Miami Heat (0-1 SU, 0-1 ATS, 1-0 O\/U) also put their best foot forward before losing to the New York Knicks 120-115 on Wednesday as well. <\/p>\n

Now, both teams will be trying to pick up a victory for BetUS NBA sports betting enthusiasts when the teams square off tonight.<\/p>\n

Heat superstar Dwyane Wade had a phenomenal game against the T-Wolves, totaling 26 points, seven rebounds and nine assists before fouling out with 1:25 left<\/p>\n

Forward Shawn Marion added 14 points and 11 rebounds for Miami.<\/p>\n

Sacramento played hard for second-year head coach Reggie Theus in losing to the young Timberwolves as veteran shooting guard John Salmons scored 24 points and surprise first round draft pick Jason Thompson who added 18 points and 10 rebounds in 22 minutes off the bench.<\/p>\n

<\/a>“We’re proud that we hung in there,” said Salmons. “We never gave up, we kept fighting. That’s an encouraging thing. Definitely built some character today.”<\/p>\n

Sacramento also covered the spread as 6-point underdogs to get off to a 1-0 ATS start.<\/p>\n
