Florida State is hoping that the return of forward Chris Singleton will help them with their scoring challenges and lead them to the next round of the tournament.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

That might be a bit too much to ask given how long he has been out but his presence should help, especially on the defensive end where his length and athleticism can be a real nuisance to the opposition.\u00a0 The Seminoles have some nice wins this year but never really fulfilled the promise they showed when they ended Duke\u2019s run at a perfect season.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

They have basically been treading water for the last month so it will be interesting to see if they can catch a spark at this point in the season.\u00a0 Maybe Singleton can provide that.\u00a0 Texas A&M is a great matchup for FSU because they are not big scorers either.\u00a0 This means they can afford the scoring droughts they are accustomed to seemingly every game. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I must admit I have not been overly impressed when I have seen them this season but the Aggies only have 8 losses so they must be doing something right.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

They may not have any great conference wins but they were able to beat Temple and Washington in the nonconference part of their schedule where they lost just once (to BC who should have made it in).\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Like FSU this team is fully committed to defense prefering to play at a pace that keeps the game in the 60\u2019s.\u00a0 The Aggies are probably not as athletic as the Seminoles and might be a bit smaller up front too but they are very accustomed to winning basketball games and that might be their biggest advantage – they know how to close them out.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Especially at the free throw line where they convert well<\/p>\n
