Having won five of seven, the Orlando Magic have settled back into the bottom of the NBA\u2019s top tier of contenders. But, as its two recent losses to Portland to Chicago show \u2013 they scored 81 and 85 points in those defeats \u2013 Orlando still needs a secondary scoring option to back up Dwight Howard. <\/p>\n

Jason Richardson has been the closest thing Howard can get to a partner in crime; he averages 14.1 points per game and has picked up his play of late. But how disappointing have Hedo Turkoglu and Gilbert Arenas been? \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

They\u2019ve gone from NBA starting-caliber guys to mere bit players this season. The Magic won\u2019t make it far in playoffs unless someone steps up.<\/p>\n

However, when the Magic face weaker defensive teams, it seems like Howard is all they need.<\/p>\n

That could be the case tonight against the sieve-like Golden State defense, which ranks 27th in the Association with 105.6 points allowed per contest. The Warriors are falling out of the Western Conference playoff race, having lost seven of nine.<\/p>\n

Golden State still doesn\u2019t have any trouble putting points on the board; Monta Ellis, Stephen Curry, David Lee and Dorrell Wright have all been forces this season, with Curry and Wright dropping treys left and right. Odds are, they\u2019ll find a way to score plenty at home tonight.<\/p>\n

But I\u2019m not convinced they\u2019ll keep the Magic off the board. The Warriors are dead last in the NBA in defensive rebounding. That sounds like a recipe for Howard to eat them alive. The Magic have won five straight meetings with Golden State, scoring at least 109 points in every one of those wins. I\u2019d expect something similar tonight at Golden State.<\/p>\n
