The San Francisco Giants late season surge pushed them to the top of the NL West with a 92-70 record which was two games better than second-place San Diego. The Giants did not stop there as they rolled all the way to a World Series Title with series wins over Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Texas along the way.<\/p>\n

The Padres were left to ponder what could have been after blowing the division lead down the stretch. Colorado finished third at 83-79, but was never seriously able to mount a charge toward the top of the division. Los Angeles took a major step backwards after winning the West in 2009 by finishing two games under .500 at 80-82. Once again Arizona brought up the rear with a dismal 62-97 record that left it 27 games back.<\/p>\n

San Francisco Giants Odds To Win NL West +145

The defending champions return with its roster pretty much intact from last year\u2019s magical run, but with a new found bull\u2019s eye on its back. Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain will once again lead the starting rotation and Buster Posey should continue to emerge as a bona fide superstar in this league. At this point it appears that the only thing can derail this team from another division title is itself.<\/p>\n

Colorado Rockies Odds To Win NL West +190
\nWin Total-86.5<\/strong><\/p>\n

Much of the Rockies hopes this season will hinge on Ubaldo Jimenez\u2019s ability to produce the same kind of numbers he did in 2010 with a 19-10 record and an ERA of just 2.88. They will also hinge on better consistency from a team that dropped eight straight games down the stretch last year. The acquisition of 2B Jose Lopez from Seattle will help to plug a hole in the lineup after 3B Melvin Mora signed with Arizona. \"Sports<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Dodgers Odds To Win NL West +275
\nWin Total- 84<\/strong><\/p>\n

Los Angeles needs to quickly erase the memory of last season\u2019s swift fall from grace and is hoping that new skipper Don Mattingly is the right guy to turn things around. The Dodgers will need more production out of Matt Kemp and Andre Either, who are both coming off a bit of a down year in 2010. Clayton Kershaw will lead LA\u2019s starting rotation which remains solid enough to keep this team in the division race until the end.<\/p>\n

San Diego Padres Odds To Win NL West +1000
\nWin Total-75.5<\/strong><\/p>\n

The mass exodus of talent from San Diego this offseason including Adrian Gonzalez, Miguel Tejada, and Tony Gwynn Jr. makes it highly unlikely that this team will come close to reaching last season\u2019s 90 wins. The loss of Jon Garland will also hurt a pitching staff that was second in the NL last season with a team ERA of 3.39.<\/p>\n

Arizona Diamondbacks Odds To Win NL West +1500
\nWin Total-72.5<\/strong><\/p>\n

Arizona seems destined to remain in the NL West basement for at least another season despite a number of offseason moves by its new general manager Kevin Towers. It is not that the Diamondbacks will not be better than their dismal 62-win season in 2010, it is just that they have fallen so far behind the rest of the teams in the division there is too much ground to make up in a year.<\/p>\n
