Wisconsin Badgers vs. Ohio State Buckeyes Preview <\/strong><\/p>\n

Ohio State (28-2) can wrap up the Big 10 title with a win at home against Wisconsin (23-6), but it is no sure thing since the Badgers have one of the best defenses in the nation AND they already lost to them this season.<\/p>\n

In their last games Wisconsin beat Indiana 77-67 on Thursday night and Ohio State crushed Penn State 82-61 on Tuesday night. The Badgers went undefeated at home this season, but they are only 5-5 on the road this season.<\/p>\n

If Ohio State wins they will likely get a #1 seed in the Big Dance while Wisconsin will likely have to win this game AND the conference tournament to do that.<\/p>\n

The Badgers have been a good betting team on the season at 15-10 ATS while the Buckeyes have been so-so at 14-13 ATS. However, Wisconsin has only covered the spread one time in their last 5 games facing teams that have a winning record at home. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This game is all about offense vs. defense, as the Buckeyes rank 20th in the nation in scoring per game and the Badgers rank 2nd in the nation in opponents\u2019 points allowed. In the win over Ohio State a few weeks back it was not the D of the Badgers that won the game, with the Buckeyes shooting 54.3% from the floor, but rather their 3-point shooting draining 10of their 20 bombs from deep. If Wisconsin allows Ohio State to shoot over 50% again they will have to rain down the 3\u2019s in order to win.<\/p>\n

Ohio State leading scorer Jared Sullinger (17.1 ppg 9.8 rpg) and 2nd leading scorer William Buford (14.3 ppg) are key in this game, but they need help. In their loss to Wisconsin on February 12th these 2 combined for 40 points.<\/p>\n

Wisconsin\u2019s Jon Leuer (19 ppg) and Jordan Taylor (18.6 ppg) are the big guns for the Badgers and each is a great 3-pt shooter. The Ohio State defense can\u2019t give these guys looks from deep. If the Buckeyes can shut these guys down they should win since the Badgers do not have many scoring options.<\/p>\n

Ohio State has too much to lose in this game and they will avenge their loss to the Badgers and win this game, as well as the big 10 title, and cover the spread.<\/p>\n
