Miami Heat vs. San Antonio Spurs Preview <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Spurs (50-11) have the best record in the NBA and have only lost 2 games at home and tonight they host a Heat (43-18) that is coming off an embarrassing loss to the Magic where they led by 24 in the 3rd quarter. NBA lines have the Spurs as 2-point favorites with a total of 195.5.<\/p>\n

In their last games the Heat lost to the Orlando Magic 99-96 last night and the Spurs beat the Cleveland Cavalier 109-99 on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

San Antonio has not only been a great straight up team, but they are also one of the best betting teams at 35-24-2 ATS while the Heat are not as hot at 29-31-1 ATS.<\/p>\n

Many think the Heat are THE team to beat this season, but they have not beaten a team with a winning record since the beginning of February and they are only 14-16 this season against teams that have a winning record.<\/p>\n

Tony Parker is out with a calf injury and backup George Hill (11.3 ppg) will have to step up. In the first game without Parker in the lineup the Spurs lost with Hill only having 6 points and in their last game they won with Hill scoring 22 points with 5 rebounds and 5 assists. King James has had a lot of success facing the Spurs, as in his last 8 games against them he is averaging 32.4 ppg, 7.4 rpg and 6.3 assists. He will need help and he is not getting any lately from F Chris Bosh, who is averaging 13.8 ppg with 8.5 rebounds over the last four games on only 31.7% shooting.<\/p>\n

Tim Duncan (13.5 ppg) and Manu Ginobili (18 ppg) will be facing a solid Heat defense that ranks 6th in the league in opponents\u2019 points allowed. However, if Miami plays D like they did in the 2nd half allowing the Magic to go on a 40-9 run the San Antonio duo will have big scoring games.<\/p>\n

The Spurs are confident and the Heat are not after last night\u2019s debacle. I think Miami will bounce back, but the Spurs are too tough and Hill and Ginobili will create match up problems for the Heat. San Antonio will win this game and give the Heat their 3rd loss in a row.<\/p>\n
